Belconnen Magpies are into their 5th straight GF after upsetting raging hot favourite Ainslie in the PF yesterday. A crowd of over 2,000 turned up at Manuka Oval providing a great atmosphere, the game was fast paced and skills were high despite the trying conditions. At 3/4 time Ainslie had all the momentum yet were still 8pts behind and to make matters worse, a massive downpour coincided with the start of the last term, making goals very hard to come by. Ainslie got within 3 points cortousy of a Nick Paine "torp" that went through from 55m with a heavy ball, but that was as close as they got as Belconnen hung on to record a great victory.
