View Full Version : Will Francis leaving change who will get dropped?

With Francis being delisted...it now leaves a gap for the other wing position. I would say that Michael Stevens would of been pretty close to the axe....but with Francis leaving i am starting to think that Stevo might be kept and tried on that wing without the added pressure of it being Flashs true spot.

Does anyone else think this could change who else we delist?

It's a harsh thing to say, but I hope the club doesn't use Flash's departure as a reason to hang on to Shane Bond, Brayden Lyle or Nathan Steinberner. Sadly, their time's up. Hopefully it gives Jared Poulton a reprieve.

Yes Macca, I reckon it'll make a change of one player getting a reprieve

I wouldn't mind seeing Schofield get more game time and have the other wing. Dew and Schofield are a pretty potent, goal-scoring wing duo, when in form.
Otherwise, if we're gonna play a youngster, then give it to Stevens or Cassisi. Even Koulouriotis could be worth a try.

I would say Brent Guerra will now be given a permanent role in the side and Stewie Dew should see more game time.

I really don't get why you guys favor Stevens to Koulouriotis.....

Stevens has had 3 years for bugger all games, and most of the time hasn't been injured...

Koulouriotis has had 2 years, has played about as many games, but this year was unlucky enough to have a serious injury requiring surgery.

But Stevens is the first choice? I really don't get it.

stevens is game ready...he made the SANFL team of the year this season...koula seems to struggle at SANFL level.
Stevens would of had quite a few games this year if it wasnt for no midfield injuries at all.

If anything, i would say Schofield should cement himself on his wing now, instead of being played outta position in the forward flank....along with Cassisi getting game time as well

To be fair though, in Michael Stevens' second year, he couldn't break into a side that finished 14th. This was Koulouriotis' 2nd year...maybe people ought to think about giving him as much of a chance as Michael Stevens got (and is still getting)
