Ex STA I take it you mean ex St Albans, well it's not Kretiuk so that leaves Kolyinuk?? Alot of their ex players are retired and are still at the club.
Julian Shanks won't be any help at Albion if he has the characteristics that you mention!!

That is my understanding but the announcement won't happen till the finals in the EDFL are over....
I originally heard this from another ex bulldogs players who said they were talking to Kolynuik. St Albans love having their own at the helm, this year they had Ryan Pagan and unfortunatley it didn't work....

D.Callander....no thanks!
Not sure what Peter Zouzounis will be doing next year, like every other team in edfl, clubs will go through the process come years end.
The man has a awesome record in my opinion, played finals every year with small budget of 40 to 50k a year. :thumbsu:

Won the B&F last year and will be missed.
Gives a young bloke a chance to make a name for himself. :thumbsu:

Callendar has been linked for Craigieburn job - (Likely TOP 4 next season - spending up $$$$$), Hoaucher to follow Callendar if West Coburg don't go up :thumbsu:

Why is Zoo considering leaving the sainters??? His coaching smarts and game plan as well as the west coburg passion for the jumper single handedly got them into the gf last year, were no where near the strongest list yet got within a couple of goals against craigieburn who on paper and form were a much better side, Zoo would be a huge loss as a coach especially if you do make the step up to A grade.

The man with the money to feed his ego apparently wants to go around again next year, despite having said a few months back that he was done. Guess those home growns who left last year will have to stay away for another year and their reserves will continue to flounder.
I would be very surprised if the rat left craigieburn, he has done his hard time at the club when they were spending no money kowing that the time would come when he can make his side good enough to have a crack at the flag. I cant see him leaving and the club love him too much to sack him.

Doesn't seem to have had a great record over the last few years, all the teams he takes over havent been too successful.
KP had an ok list their last year, their results didnt reflect it at all......I think he wanted to spend more money last year to get some players he knows personally to KP but the club wouldnt budge.....

It may have, but i doubt it - one minor indisgression that i hear wasnt even gaylards fault - at the end of the day KP seem to be moving forward and Gaylard is the right man - whether Rioli coaches or not, gaylard could do all the work behind the scenes on recruiting etc. which would be great for the club to give the finals a run in 07....

Spot on about West Coburgs list last year, Zou seems to get the best out of his playing list when it counts, tends to show blokes love playing under the bloke and respect him a great deal.
Would be interesting to see if the bloke had another 50k in player payments what he could achieve?

I mentioned Garbutt in an earlier post, i meant Bakoulous who was possibly injured sorry for the mix up. Mick McGuane who was a coach of A James, gave a speech at the KFC shortly after Gisborne won the flag and swore that James was the worst club person he had ever encountered , Pretty strong words from a former team mate at the Pies, afterwards over a few beers Mick bluntly said he would not let him play at any side he was involved in even if it was for free!. Have never met the fella so it is all going on others opinions, but if he came with no baggage i would love to see him in the red white and blue

All of those players should line up come Saturday.
What a huge game this will be Airport West Vs Pascoe Vale.
Two young teams which will be a high scoring match, with APW coming off a awesome win can they be stopped? No in my opinion, there young midfield will be the difference, Pacco without Bakker last week showed they really do miss him.
Pacco seem to use Gamble as Mr fix it, who went onto Flavel in the second quarter and had no effect, Green was well held on the wing/onball.
Pascoe Vale's key is there forward line #18 is awesome, took mark after mark and kicked straight, will be one to watch.
My prediction, APW for me. They will be to strong all over the ground with the experience of Barclay and Martin that will be enough and a just reward for eggers. :thumbsu:

Heard a rumour that Ian Denny was named the Senior coach of the year at the AFCA awards at Windy Hill on Monday night. Can anyone confirm that. I can't speak highly enough the bloke, lm sure APW are keen to sign him up for another couple of years. It's an exciting time for the APW football club and there supporters, l just hope they can get that flag for the great man. ;)

[quote=EDFL MAN]Indeed it is champ, all those players should line up come Saturday.
What a huge game this will be Airport West Vs Pascoe Vale.
Two young teams which will be a high scoring match, with APW coming off a awesome win can they be stopped? No in my opinion, there young midfield will be the difference, Pacco without Bakker last week showed they really do miss him.
Pacco seem to use Gamble as Mr fix it, who went onto Flavel in the second quarter and had no effected, Green was well held on the wing/onball.
Pascoe Vale's key is there forward line #18 is awesome, took mark after mark and kicked straight, will be one to watch.
EDFL Man you guys are going along just fine at the moment and I would not in any way try and distract you fellas from participating in a Grand final. However if there are any players over 6 foot 2 who are planning a move give me a call
My prediction, APW for me. They will be to strong all over the ground with the experience of Barclay and Martin that will be enough and a just reward for eggers. :thumbsu:[/

Heard a rumour that Ian Denny was named the Senior coach of the year at the AFCA awards at Windy Hill on Monday night. Can anyone confirm that. If the rumour is true then that is a massive feather in the cap of a person who has transformed a struggling club into getting three sides (18's, ressies and seniors)into the finals for the first time in the history of the APW footy club.:thumbsu:
I can confirm this - Ian was awarded the North West region Coach of the Year in the Senior Division for Australian Football Coaches Assoc.
Michael "Tocka" O'Keefe from Sunshine won the Western Region
U looking for a coaching stint H?
Moreworried about knockin off colts mate. Haven't spoken to Ronny for a while and was just interested in seeing how my old mate is doing down there..

Hes done a great job at AW to drag them back from the brink buts lets not forget he recruited a heap of proven senior players this season. You can only coach who you've got but I'm sure if he had last years list he would have finished much the same or below were he did last year.

Wellllllll below mate. What Ian has done well is he has played the kids, such as McVeigh, McBride, Scherian, Mc Allister, Godden, Irons, Liparota, Semmems, McLean. (as well as Crook & Baker who are only 22 years of age) but he has also got Ex-APW players back to the club, like Pappa, Caccapardo, Piccolo, Bruno, Blumfield, Verral, Gatt.
But as was mentioned he also has got recruited well over the off-season, with players like Barclay, Martin, & Collier fitting in really well not only on field but off field.

It wouldn't be far off it champ, some of those players don't come cheap but l understand certain players come back to the club because it's there home.
I was also including the coach in that 50k a year. :thumbsu:

A few blokes have returned to the club in the pass 2 yrs are APW ppl who left then saw the great job eggers was doing with the club
Cacarpardo Pardo Bruno Piccolo Blumfield Pappa Verell just to name a few and the recruits that are playing on the weekend, there are only three
Barklay Collier and Martin - who have all come for nothing, and they approached the club, the club didn't chase them. Martin was a mate of Pappa who was looking to play closer to home ( not bad recruit Pappa and Martin  ) Barklay and Collier have been great for the club to, good blokes and great players. Barklay is still trying to teach some of the young blokes how to kick with out much luck:D
Just one for you EagleOne no one remebers the merger between APW juinors and APW just a few blokes who came from the sainters Gentile, Pappa, Piccolo, Godden, Mcveigh, Liparota, Scherian, Crook all could be playing ones on the weekend:thumbsu:

To be honest mate, the footy show last night for the first time made sense, it will be won in the middle this weekend..
Holman, tate, may, barnard x 2 Vs Hollow, Ramsey, Dochery, Laverde - really it will be a great game to watch i think it could either way all we can hope is that rain stays away and it makes it a good spectacle for all...

Dont be silly mate, all i am saying is that it will be one of the best games of the year........The only fireworks will be coming off the players going in hard for the footy, neither side would want anyone missing for the GF. Both sides are capable of extraordinary footy, the side that musters 12-14 goals will be enough to get the points I think.
