I heard that a few GVL boys are heading back to the DV next year, Dion civola and Tim Watson. What club are they likely to go to?

One of those boys - note sure which one it is - won't be going anywhere for a while. Part of his penalty for making contact with an umpire in the last game of the year is to umpire six games.

Kyabram midfielder Craig Whyte's 2006 season has been resurrected after some innovative thinking from Goulburn Valley Football Umpires' Association.
Whyte was reported for making contact with umpire Chris McCallum during the Bombers' round 20 Goulburn Valley Football League loss to Seymour 11 days ago.
He was dually found guilty and suspended for 10 weeks and had another four weeks added on top of it for striking a Seymour player relating to the same game.
They will not be served concurrently.
However, the GVFL tribunal, the GVFUA and Bombers' officials agreed to a submission to have Whyte's suspension reduced by a month.
For this to occur, Whyte, after seeing out his fourweek striking suspension, must participate with the GVFUA for the ensuing six weeks.
"It's a win for Craig and the club," Kyabram president Peter Nelson said.
"It's a win for footy in general and it's a win for the umpires."
Nelson said Whyte had agreed to the terms of the arrangement and if he failed to adhere to the conditions he would be forced to sit out another four weeks.
"Craig was pretty distressed about it," Nelson said of the umpire incident.
"He's a dual best and fairest winner in the reserves and he also won an under-18s best and fairest.
"From our point of view he's a good clubman."
League general manager Eric Bott said he was supportive of the decision.
"It's a tremendous outcome," Bott said.
"I don't remember this happening before in my time."
Reporting umpire McCallum, who is the president of the GVFUA, was the man behind the successful proposal.
It is the latest of a number of initiatives, with Katandra coach Mark Lambourn, Ardmona coach Perry Meka and other senior players from around the Goulburn Valley volunteering their time to assist the umpires this season when their own clubs had the bye.

No, I'm not. As B-train has pointed out it was Whyte. Sorry.

Im pretty sure its Whyte.
Very lucky to get what he did. The video footage is damning for him. Lucky enough it was nothing to do with Seymour and the footage wasn't required. But if the umpires had of asked for it. then i suppose he would have got more.
I suppose if you ride your luck long enough, eventually you will be caught out and lose. Whyte has been whacking blokes behind play and doing stupid stuff like that for a very long time. Eventually he had to be suspended.
But, he has probably biffed in excess of foofty men..50.
So, he was lucky to get a month scratched off. Can't see him umpiring to long though, bit of a loss canon in the brains department, he's likely to have someone call him a Whyte Maggot, and he will snap.
Wears no. 30. Used to have dred locks, red hair.
Anyway, thats enough from me.

FBP, yeah spot on, he has a bit of a mean streak in him which is a shame becuase if he concentrted on his footy, he could be a servicable senior player with the bombers.

Agreed, he has always been the reserves best player when we have played against them, his undisciplined acts would go against him at senior level. Most times they don't affect a reserves match, they could in a senior match.

Didn't Kayne Pettifer give that Whyte a flogging one night at Ky at a netball tournament or something? I remember it wasn't long after Kayne got drafted and he was very surprised that the tigers found out so quickly...
Surely if Kayne (who would be out of his weight division by a fair bit) can give him a touch up he cant be that tough...spose it doesn't take a tough man to snipe though...

I find that hard to believe with the amount of coin they've got. They might be down now, but have the potential to pick up, very quickly!

Correction! The amount of coin they had. They used to have all that money as result of the pokies, now they have no pokies nobody wants to be a part of their club. It is jus a real bad atmosphere down there.

Not sure about Dion, but I can say on good authority "Watto" is coming back to the DVFL. Not sure if he will head back to Mont, but I'm sure there will be a few clubs on the phone. He is a gun.

we nearly had him at Lower P this year as his brother was coach, but then the allmighty $ loured him away, which is fair enough coz we wouldnt have offered much.
