must be more than that, surely can play if the lions too him at three in the 2002 draft? the best team ever on top of there game. You would have thought they would only pick the best

From what he's shown he would be a great addition to any team, it's just a matter of ending a horror run with injuries. Perhaps a different club and physio might see him turn it around. I'd give up pick 11 for him on potential.
if he could get over his injuries he could be anything, he has a massive leap and good hands

Pick 11 to the Lions
Brennan to the Dogs
Why would we need the Crows involved? I'd take Brennan over Watts in an instant.

Agreed. Brennan is a much better player. Injuries can't last forever, he'll come good soon. But I don't think the Lions will be letting him go somehow.

Brennan. Huge leap. Very quick. Had heaps of injuries. Athletic freak.
Watts. Tall and umm.... . Tall. Thats it.
Brennan > Watts.

Brennan is from Northern Territory would he want to play for the Western Bulldogs (same can be said about him playing for the crows) but Watts has already started he wants to play in Victoria.
IIRC Brennan was very excited about Brisbane, as that was his first propriety and SA was his second as it was very close to the NT.

It's all moot. There's about zero chance of Brisbane trading him.
If you really want him, wait til next year when you will get him for a 3rd rounder ;)

Welcome to the BF........99% of any post on this “its all moot” and about zero chance of happening.
(Yes I did notice your 2700 odd post so I wasn’t referring to you as a newbe) :D

What?
You mean we're not really trading Cooney and Griffen for Michael Smith and a 4th round pick?
That's a relief.

You are but wont be told about it until 1.58pm on Friday October 7.
The fax machine will break down and prevent it happening. I guess Essendon missed out again. :D

Shouldn't Watts actually start to play before he starts becoming picky and choosy over where?

What a rubbish post. Every club tries to take who they believe is the best player available (Unless there trying to fill a specific need of course) The Lions being the best team of all time had nothing to do with picking Brennen at number three.

Just because I guy was initially worth a 1st round draft pick does not mean he remains a 1st rd draft pick.
I'd sooner use a pick 20 (say) on a 17yo rather than trade it for a Brennan or a Watts.
They have proven nothing.
Especially Watts.
Brennan has played about 3 decent quarters in 3 years.
2nd-3rd round pick.
Anyone who gives up more is either very trustworthy, lucky or stupid.
Mark Coughlin was pick 24-ish - bear that in mind when you trade awaylate 1st rounder & 2nd round draft picks.
And the only people that disagree with this are supporters of their respective clubs with pipedreams of what they're worth!

And Danny Roach, Lawrence Angwin and Luke Molan went top 10.
You're taking a risk either way.

Brennan won’t be going anywhere I’m best mates with his cousins and he is signed for a few more years and loves Brisbane.

Exactly. Funny how everyone's misty-eyed idea of a top 5 draft pick is always Riewoldt or Judd and not Goddard, Walsh or Salopek.

Overated and not worthy of a first round swap.
