My roommate was telling me he saw this listed on the 'Coming Soon' board at the local Blockbuster.
Is this for real??

Its a direct to video release, with new cast members and centering around Stifler's little brother. There's little involvement from the AP originals.

They milked a successful movie by making as many sequels as they could,even if the original actors wanted nothing to do with it.

They milked a successful movie by making as many sequels as they could,even if the original actors wanted nothing to do with it.
The first 2 were great, real fun to watch them back to back at Xmas time.
3 was a re-hash of 1, but with a different family....crap! To give it some continuity with the first 2, they could have had it take place at Kevin's old house and the kid find's Kevin's old blue-prints that he used against the Wet Bandits from the first movie.
4 was direct to video, brought back the McAllister's, but different actors. Crap and never seen it.
wait a minute, there is a 4th? .. i think ive seen the 3rd.. which was crap, compared to the 1st and 2nd classics.

I think the title is the disappointment. Stating Band Camp, you would think it would be based around Jim and Michelle and ofcourse Stifler would have some involvement.
American Pie is probably the classic teen movie, while American Pie 2 is clearly for the older teens, and i think the third edition, The Wedding, lacked the original teen idea, but it was perfect to show the continuation from a group of people out of their younger lives and finish on the note of marriage.
The 4th edition looks awful. Looks like it is carrying on but starting all over again, I am sure there will be plenty of laughs, but it certainly won't be classed as an American Pie.

Good analysis there I think. Especially about AP:The Wedding part.
I basically would say the second was my favourite and can imagine how much of a load of crap this one will be.
