IMO should things fall our way in trade week and the PSD it is not too unrealistic to end up with the following scenario:

Lance Whitnall to Cats for Jimmy Bartel in a straight swap.
Matthew Lappin + pick 20 + pick 52 to Dockers for Graham Polak + pick 10
Trent Sporn to Crows for Fergus Watts
Scott Camporeale to Power for Byron Pickett
pick 10 + pick 36 to Demons for Brad Green
Ryan Houlihan to Dogs for Sam Power

Luke Power in the Pre-season Draft for nothing.

Still leave us with picks 1 - Marc Murphy
4 - Shannon Hurn

These picks are enough in what is supposedly a shallow draft. Picks 6-30 could go in any order (unlikely to use pick 68)

So we would gain: Bartel, Polak, Watts, Green, Pickett, Sam Power, Luke Power
lose: Whitnall, Camporeale, Lappin, Houlihan and Sporn

Our line-up IMO would be something like:

B: Livingston Thornton Teague
HB: Bentick Polak Carazzo
C: L. Power Bartel Green
HF: Simpson Waite Scotland
F: Fisher Fevola Pickett
R: French Koutoufidies Stevens

Int: Mcgrath, Bryan, Murphy, Walker

Is this completely unrealistic or do the trades sound reasonable???

1. Whitnall for Bartel - In all Carlton's supporters wildist dreams
2. Would love that trade to happen but once again it won't
3. I actually think that is seemingly fair as WAtts is extremely overrated and Sporn has had a bad run with injuries
4. No
5 No
6. Carlton get screwed majorly.

Once again dont believe that the Carlton side playing with the attitude it has will rise at all on the ladder. A few extra players will help however there is a high chance that quality players coming into our side will lose much of their quality. The whole energy in the place is too negative. Only the strongest of characters coming in would hold their form. Our number one priority should be to change the culture at the place and then worry about the list.

Before trades, delistings but talking the draft into account:

B Carrazzo, Thornton, Teague
HB Camporeale, Whitnall, Houlihan
C Simpson, Bentick, Murphy
HF Hurn, Waite, Fisher
F Betts, Fevola, Lappin
R French, Kouta, Stevens
Int Walker, Bryan, Scotland, O'hAilpin

Issues: Crap Defense, Midfield is very young and inexperienced.
