I remember when the Cricket Academy was set up at Henley Beach ( where Warne hit a parked car on his bike and needed a shoulder reco ) Peter Philpott was coach and the first batch included Michael Bevan( first academy lad to hit a hundred) Stuart Law and Joe Scuderi. Most of the Australian cricket sides of the next ten years were Academy boys.. G McGrath being the exception.

Is this why we are struggling to find young cricketers anymore? I would like to see a return to a full year scholarship with Rod Marsh returning in the role as head coach, with DK Lillee assisting. Come On Aussies
