Do Collingwood have a chance next year? I'm sure we'll get a troll or 2 to tell I'm dreaming. I'm sure a couple of supporters will say I'm crazy
But I honestly believe if we have MINIMAL injuries, and pick up a good midfielder or 2, next year will be our only shot for 2 or 3 years. I'm not saying we should chase a half decent midfielder for instant gratification/to fill in a hole just for finals next year. I'd still only want to trade for Kerr, and I doubt that's going to happen. Not after Campo or anyone like that. Just draft solid youngsters to build around, and hopefully witha high pick we can pick one up who can play a few games in the senior side.
Back on track, I'm not suggesting we are a shoe in for finals. In fact, we'd need ALOT to go our way. But hopefully with Rocca, Fraser, Buckley etc playing full seasons we can string some form together and give it a go. Whether we'd make an impact once there is debateable. I'd rather give it a shot at finals then have another poor year and pick up some more 'picks'
Of course, after next year I think we are in trouble. List is getting old, and our good players are the ones getting there....
