I would like to see if any club lost Champion Players, like Couch Ablett, Brownless Stoneham lost his ability, and we have made the finals two years. Just remember every dog has their day, our day will not take place in the next two years, but it will be in this decade.
:D

You have had 5 years to get over the loss of these players and rebuild a team. How long do you want ?
Just face the facts, Geelong are going to be down the bottom end of the ladder for a long time, till there is a major change in player personnel ( the list you have got at the moment is a joke ), major change in recruitment and trading staff ( what was up with trading bizzell for grgic and 1 crap pick ? you guys got jibbed bad )and just a major change in club culture, which is losing culture at the moment.
Cmon nolsey 77 pull your head out of the sand

Sorry i forgot to say that i dont even think your club will be around in the next decade without a) a merger or b) a white knight like gutnick. It sounds harsh but i think we both know in the bottom of our hearts that i speak the truth
The Sydney Swanettes will be near the bottom of the ladder in the next few years .
They've got an old list & an injury prone group of youngsters.
Sydney have a coach that doesn't get along will ANYONE .Its a fair chance he won't see out the whole season next year.
Geelongs future looks brighter than Sydneys.

But Sydney is the AFL's love child. They will never let it go under...

So when was the last time your great list beat our 'joke' list??
I can tell you we've been up to your queer city twice in the last two years without blemish.
You must be confused about the Bizzell deal, the deal was:
Geelong gets: Brent Grgic, #17, #41.
Melbourne gets: Clint Bizzell, #56.

You might want to find out how much money the Swans were pulling during the 90's????
You might just find clubs like Geelong were handing their profits over for you to piss up in a market that didn't want you.. or to use to steal players from Vic clubs. If the comp was even ---- you'd be dead Swanny boy!

Well we've got Mensch, you've got Jason Ball. I guess neither of us have a winner :D
Then again,Sydney did have Luff for about 10 years,so I guess you'd be use to hack players :p :p :p :p
I would rather have Mick O'Loughlin or Adam Goodes at Carlton than any twat from geelogn any day.
Red and White is talking some sense here.

So why do you have Hickmott,Mansfield & Fletcher.
Stuffed up there TWAT
I'm talking about Geelong's current list Jub .
Oh Puh-leazze tell my you wouldn't want O'Loughlin or Goodes at Geelong. If you answer no, it proves you probably don't appreciate good players.
JUBJUB, Red Rover, you guys are absolutely killing them here.
As for Loz, I wouldn't worry about his/her comments. Loz indicated in another thread, that he/she would prefer to have MATTHEW Lappin at Carlton as opposed to Nigel Lappin, Akermanis, Power, Leppitsch, etc.
Too bad we won the premiership this season.

The Only player from Geelong that I would gladly accept at the Hawks is David Spriggs.

List of players today, and the age they will be April 1st 2002:
Mcgrath - 32
Burns, Kilpatrick, Mensch, Riccardi, Sholl, White - 29
Graham, Sanderson - 28
Corrigan, Milburn, Snell - 24
Harley, King, Kingsley - 23
Grgic, Mooney, O'Brien, Rahilly, Scarlett -22
Clarke, Ling, Spriggs, Street, Wojcinski, Woolnough - 21
Chapman, Corey, Enright, Foster, Hunt - 20
Bray - 19
Ayres coach 1995 - 1999, where are the players recruited in this era? I'm guessing here, but I'd imagine the current crop of top teams have a large number of players in the 23-27 bracket....... we have 6! There will be a couple of more tough years ahead, but then again the optimist in me harks back to the baby bombers of 93. Add an influx of 6(?) draft picks this year, we will have a very young list, give the young blokes a crack, at least you know they'll be fair dinkum. And whats the point of this? In a couple of years, we will have still a young group of players with many pushing up around the 70-100 game mark with Graham and Sanderson on the veteran list. I kinda like it........
