Is he really that bad?
I always hear Essendon supporters bagging him but i dont think he is as bad as he is made out to be.

He isn't a very good footballer.
Having said that, he is always the scape goat. He always takes the blame on these boards.
Bolton is worse than him.
And the reason we still have him is he can back up in the ruck , play forward or back. No he isnt any good . Yes others are unlucky to be delisted before him but really you cant delist or trade all of your tall backs in one go.

Never had the chance to play in one position that doesnt help him much
but saying that still not AFL standard

I've thought for a while he'd be OK if left in key defence.

He has done a few handy things there.
But when I say "a few" I really do mean few.

A lot of that has to do with very rarely being played there since 2001, when he was in the best 22 of a minor premier until he got injured.

Yeah true.
I have a soft spot for him.
He's a battler.

Got a feeling he was a rising star nominee in 2001?

this guy is the worst player ever i don't know how he got under the selectors noses. I hope he gets injured this year so we don't have to go through the torment of seeing him running around.

he lost me when fairy fraser easily out muscled him in the last quater against collingwood in r22 '03 and scored a match winning goal. (though if hille wasnt playing like a dud that night, henno wouldnt have been needed in the ruck).
jakovitch kicking that easy goal against him in the last quater in r3 last year didnt help nor does he single figure disposals per game.

How can he be 'blamed' for anything? Same with a scapegoat? The fact is he is taking up one spot on our list we can ill afford.
7 Games where he has got over double figured stats, most of them were in 2001 when he was, get this, at his 'best'. His biggest 'haul' has been 13 touches. He has the kicking prowess of a poodle and the tackling ability of a dwarf.
Bolton is a goose, but at least he does something like win time trails or win cheersquad popularity awards.
Henneman has done ******** all and is a blight on the famous number 3 worn by names like Reynolds and Salmon.

I always like to encourage our players and talk them up when I can so here it goes:
He did double his career goal tally in the first quarter of the first game of 2005 :thumbsu:

O'Connor was #3 too.
That number hasn't been worn well since Salmon had it, and we all know how his tenure in that guernsey ended. Maybe we ought to retire it for awhile....bad karma.
Hennes was actually a very good player back in 01, but with the decent talls we have had n recruiting ruckmen in Salmon n Allan, he was always going to struggle for touch in the seniors. I dare say the Bombers knew this or they wouldve enlisted him as our main number 2 ruck/KP
Might need a spell for a year or 2 strictly in the VFL to find his feet again. Look at Mahoney! Doering more recently is my pick for an AFL rebirth! ;)
No need to bag him though, only a small window of opportunity btw 20-23 years of age to come good these days. We kept Wally, Flood n Somerville for ages n they turned out ok without being stars themselves...well, maybe not Flood. Whatever became of Willie ********? haha

He has been given plenty of chances and has done nothing. At least Bolton has had a few decent games in his career.

Flood did his job in the 93 finlas series - he earnt his keep right there.
Henno is a poor b@stard becuase he cops so much unfairly. He is just plain and simple - out of his league in the AFL and that mean old man known as sheedy seems to enjoy toying with him.
Keep Hunt - flick Henno.
Watch him run - or should I say plod - the guy is supposed to be a kpp yet he has the speed of a turtle.
Injuries and all the rest have made it hard - but enough is enough - we have our new henneman coming through now in Johns, we don't need two big guys who are injury prone.
And at least Bolton gives some entertainment - like the final in 03 when he annoyed the crap out of Pavlich.
this guy is the worst player ever.
Come on, you must have seen Ben Doolan play.

Instead of rubbishing the player we should be blaming the coach that continually keeps picking him and re-signing him.
Sheedy.
Bolton is the worst player ever, so what if he a good runner, he doesnt knowwhere to go. I seen so many players that improve and then plateau, but bolton keeps getting worse, he hasnt done anything since he showed a bit of promise in 2003 when he was tearing port apart in the semi then tore his hammy. Get rid of him. Sheedy tried playing him up forward this year on a few occasions and he was dismal. I cant believe we didnt trade him considering there was interest in him, next year he will be untradable.
Zantuck also needs to go.

Sheedy.
Since when did Sheedy negotiate player contracts?
