along with Yea is also Vilot Town to the KDFL making it a 13 team competition
it should be a strong Competition.
yea should be use to travelling to Undera , merrigum etc wonder if clubs who use
so yea should change their colors and nick name too to won't be too confusing
also Violet Town Colors class with Undera both the lions, so looks like violet town will
have to have an alternat Jumper and nick name and club song, especally when Playing
Undera

Violet Town might be able to go back to their old colours of Purple and Yellow - exactly like the GV rep jumpers.
Would these colours clash with anyone else in the KDFL?

CLUB COlors
Murchison
Ardmona _ Blue and white hoops like Geelong.
Avenel are the Swans with old South Melbourne style Jumper
Girgarre's football club are the North Melbouren Colors
Lancaster are the Wombats. Williamstown style Jumper
Merrigum are the Bulldogs, We3stern Bulldogs style Jumper
Murchison wore a green guernsey with gold sash
Nagambie wore red, white and black panels, and were known as the Lakers.
Rushworth guernsey was black, with a gold band, and gold trim
Stanhope wore Gold guernseys with a maroon monogram, and maroon trim
Tallygaroopns switched to a navy blue guernsey with red yoke.
Undera.football club are known as the Lions. (Brisbane lions style jumper )
Yaapeet From Mallee football league ;) no longer have a side Purple and Yellow
ahha violet Town currently wears a red guernsey with blue yoke & gold VT monogram.
and called the Lions
they have had a few changes
1987- present - Violet Town wore a red guernsey with blue yoke & gold VT monogram, and were known as the Lions or Towners.
1979 - Violet Town wore purple & yellow colours, and were known as the Towners
unknown date Violet Town wore a blue guernsey with wide red band and bordering white hoops, while in the Tungamah FL.
so violet town maby not have to change their jumper at all?
i thought if they were the lions they be Fitzroy colors ;)
cheers

Stanhope changed back to thier original colours this year (Maroon with Gold V), which is nice and confusing when they have to play Undera, which the league shouldn't have allowed because thier Gold jumpers didn't clash anywhere near as bad as thier old/new ones.
But anyway, Violet Town would probably stay with thier Fitzroy style jumpers, because they're mainly Red anyway, that clash with Undera wont be as bad because VT also wear blue shorts, but you're right it would be easier if thye reverted to thier old purple & gold colours to avoid confusion.
Yea, on the otherhand should have to change thier jumpers like what the Picola League is making Dookie & Shepparton East do right now, (maybe Black & Gold Stripes, Gold back, Black numbers, Black shorts & Black Socks a la Cobram perhaps), but I believe that they should still be called the Tigers (the PDFL is also making Shepp East & Dookie change thier nickname as well).
The Kyabram League is now a jungle with Lions (Stanhope, Undera & Violet Town) & Tigers (Rushworth & Yea) & Cats (Ardmona), it's like a zoo.

Believe Yea will wear the traditional strip and are currently looking into an alternate strip for Rushy games, still a big possibility to wear shorts for away games which I cant believe dont happen everywhere anyway

yeah i noticed Stanhopes jumper same as the Old Brim Jumper before they added a eagle on the front, maby yea could have ala another afl club jumper not used by any KDFL sides maby someone can have a wce jumper with a tiger on the front ala Nhill in wimmera their the tigers, and horsham united have the richmond Jumper but their not the tigers their called the Diggers,> even some former northern mallee sides had to change if Rainbow had been still on their own , alla same as Manangatang but managatang didn;t have to chage , even now with toolybuck their using manangatangs Jumper ,
I think KDFL clubs will sort it all out before rd 1 2006
hope to do another game their when our league has no games :)
even if it was a Murchison game again, when ya a creddited goal umpire ya can
go anywhere when ya association has no games to do its good to help out other associations if their short on Numbers i;d do it anywhere , travelling dosn;t worry me at all. its good excuse to get away from home for a few days ;) and see a differnt standed of footy :) and meet other umpires from differnt associations
and good experience too.
cheers

are you saying the league may be bringing in a rule that all away clubs must wear white shorts? if so that's ridiculous. there's no need for a change.

Visiting Clubs should have White shorts especally if clubs have similar color shorts make it alot easier for goal umpires and field umpiers
thats always been around visiting sides wear white shorts, Nullawil always wore white shorts, when they left Hopetoun changed to white shorts
reason Why Nullawil had White to avoid confusion With Brim Nullawil are Maroon and white with NFC Monogram and Brim Were Maroon and Gold V then chaged a few years ago
the idea of white for away sides is a great idea

never had worries with it before. if the shorts clash then so do the jumpers. and in that case then yea and violet town should be made to have new outfits from the start of the season.
with the amount of teams that are goin to have very similar jumpers i beleive that yea and VT should take the initiative and adopt a new jumper. freo-like, essendon jumpers or west coast-like...any of these aren't being used currently.

yeah wimmera football league do have dress code, white shorts for away sides and color home sides so irt should be every league. mallee league didn't not sure what they do now . but Wimmera do no jumper clashes even socks can be hard to especally if 2 clubs both had strip socks, eg warrac, Ararat Horsham saints, especally near the goal line can be hard to tell

wimmera football league always had white shorts for aways sides as long as i;ve been following the wimmera, which is a good idea :) like all umpiring associations are going Orange or yellow depending the team colors ,
