watching the ashes and being at cricket when playing engand
having 20000 poms chanting the barmy army is just so.....i dont have words for it and every time freddie had the ball and it stared he seemed to get the wickets.
how can we match it, ok we do have aussie aussie aussie and come on aussie come on and if your've had to much "your going home in the back of a divvy van' and when the great man comes on to bowl/bat...warrrrney, warrrrney

Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi always seemed to be pretty good to me. A new one could simple be: Warney for PM :D :D

How about at the MCG on Boxing Day, in the holiday spirit when Katich or Clarke come out to bat

"You wish you were as good as Hodgey"
"You wish you were as good as Hodgey"
"You wish you were as good as Hodgey"
"You NSW HACK"

I think you want an "as" between good and Hodgey....either that, or a comma...and change the end to "You Victorian hack"

Some might say, look at the FC averages and than you'll see who the better player is - Katich.

:D :D

The barmy army do more than chant 'Barmy Army' for 6 hours fellas, they have a songbook of traditional Football terrace classics a mile long.

If 'Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi' was never given another rendition at a sporting event ever again, it'd be a bloody breath of fresh air.

Yup, the Army has a whole repertoire, and do a fine job, from what I remember. eddie seems to think Australia is copying team selection- well, I'd say we could learn a bit from the barmy Army about witty repartee during the day at a Test match. Beach balls and the wave are entirely old hat...not much fun when they were going on anyway

We could expand our chants a little bit.

Aussie, aussie, aussie... is pretty boring.

You are a wangker - I think I hear this more than aussie, aussie.

Give us the ball back - increases at about 5-6pm or the 5-6 beer mark. Whatever comes first.

"We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice:
I am, you are, we are Australian"

"Do you come from a land down under?
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover!
Yeah"

Or this verse

"I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder ?
You better run, you better take cover"

:D

Aussie songs that would sound pretty awesome being sung by a large crowd IMO

Now that would be perfect to sing when an opposition bowler appeals !!!

I like it :thumbsu:

Some humour while at a cricket game I like it ! :p

When Hodgey is next in

HODGEY! HODGEY! HODGEY!

We want Hodgey
We want Hodgey
We want Hodgey

We want a wicket, we want it now
We want a wicket and we'll take it anyway
