Hi guys, as this is my first post i've decided to start with a big question. I personally prefer Jonathon Brown because of his intimidation, size, leadership and his ability to win games by himself.

I think your being unfair to the Bigmen of NM. Rawlings, Thommo and Hay would give them a run for there money

Warren Treadrea for me, followed by Pavlich.

I didn't put him on because i don't think he has been as dominant and he hasn't had the impact that the others have had.

Very tough to choose, but I have to go Jonathan Brown. He's big, mean, tough, young and intimidating. He also has the ability to explote the opposition with a move in to the midfield. Pavlich also has this ability, but he isn't as great of a contested mark as Brown, Tredrea or Hall.

Brown, Tredrea, Hall, Pavlich. In that order.

There all guns, but I'd have to say Brown.

I voted hall, but after thinking about it i would rather Pav. Simply because he is the most versatile KPP going around, he made AA as a Backman a Midfielder and a Forward.

Brown, no surprises there.

Best contested marker going around, and his incredible fitness for a fella his size gives him incredible impact when rotated into the midfield.

I'd have to say Brown, but Hall is a close second imo.

Jonathan Brown with Big Bad Barry Hall coming second, then the Pav.

Brown can play as a centre half-forward, full-forward and even as a ruck-rover. Single handedly tore apart Essendon at the Telstra Dome this season. One of the toughest and most feared players in the AFL.

Koschitzhe would be in my top three if it weren't for his injuries otherwise when he is fit, he is brilliant. I'd prefer him to be St Kilda captain than Riewoldt and also a worthy mention to Chris Grant. He has been around for 15 years and he is still doing his part for the Doggies.

How can we forget THE MESSIAH...Who's that guy? Courtney Johns? I wouldn't call him a Messiah.

Where's the Qulk? ;) But seriously I'd take Brown over Pavlich. Brown when injury free and not susended, IMHO is the best player along with Judd, maybe even better! Is awesome up forward and can play in the midfiled bloody well. As well as this he's built like tank, young, intimidating and can only get better. Superstar.

Funnily enough you just described Pavlich to a tee.

Pavlich vs Brown (in my subjective opinion so don't get narky)

Fitness: Pavlich would literally run rings around Brown.
Midfield Ability: Pavlich made All Australian from playing in the midfield (2003)
Contested Mark: Hard pressed picking a winner. Brown strong body and physical prescence, Pavlich can just about mark from any position including the one arm held, from behind, 2-on-1 or my favourite the 2-on-1 with one arm being held. A tie or maybe Brown on a slight fraction.
Accuracy at goal: Pavlich, no contest.
Leadership: Both have shown remarkable leadership qualities and both are the next captains of their clubs. I can't pick a winner in this department.

On that I'd take Pavlich ahead of Brown. If anyone is going to start a Tredrea argument let me know and I'll bite to the debate :thumbsu:

i voted hall, but brown would be close 2nd. tredrea seems arrogant and as i dont see many dockers games didnt go pavlich. although kosi had a good year, injuries are still a problem. dogs would prob be happy for any though

its funny how people try to justify claims that Brown is the premier key position forward in the comp.

Warren Tredrea = 2001,2002,2003,2004 AA CHF, 3 time Port Adelaide B & F, Premiership Captain, most agile big man in the game

Mooney? Can play Back, Forward, Ruck, and now even Midfield

its funny how people try to justify claims that Brown is the premier key position forward in the comp. That's not funny. It is people telling it like it is. Brown is the premier key forward in the competition then Hall. There have been comparisions with Brown and Wayne Carey. Nobody in the world could ever think of comparing Tredrea to the King.

we will see which one of the two is remembered as one of the greats.

At the moment, Tredrea has been better and had a better career. Brown has a lot of work to do to live up to the hype that surrounds his obvious talent. Can easily be one of the greats of the game but hasn't gone anywhere near it yet.

As much as i hate him I said Tredrea on form, not on potential (Brown).

Thats bull ********, if you're going to have a poll like this you have to include the deserved players on the list.

Where's Henneman?
