I still reckon we're gonna need a specialist opener for the SA series, though. They're too good a seam attack to be going with a part-time opener. I'm not saying Slater should be it, BTW.

I think Greg Blewett is a fair chance to come back as an opener. He has been in awesome form for South Australia and has seucceeded against South Africa before. Slater has slept with someone's missus. He's done something horrific that no one knows about! The selectors just don't like him, remember Deano?

that rumour is utter crap

blewett wont come back as an opener. he will take the spot of one of the waugh's when the retire (katich to take the other spot)
if langer doesnt take his chance then slater will be given one more go, if he fails it will be cox
cox was very close to touring england
