Big Tony i would agree that with out a doubt he is the most exciting in the GVFL I have seen him play twice now and he is just a freak the way he jumps and moves, but how about a couple of these blokes, M Byers [ shepp ] R Archard [ echuca ] P Newman [ Kyabram ] T Hotton [Mansfeild] and i have heard alot about R Symes [ Benalla ] and also C Mc Carthy [Roc ] and without a doubt i have left many out. If i could pick two players from the GVFL it would be Saad Saad and Paul Newman what a forward line ?

Without a doubt a very good player...but...

1/ I was there, it was not wet during the senior game, nor were the conditions at all greasy.

2/ It was 8 of 11.

3/ Benalla handed Seymour the game by constantly turning the footy over at half-forward.

Shane Clayton was a very consitent player all year, playing very well every week and some super games too when he had over 40 possies. Byers, Kirby to name other players who performed consistenly week in week out.
I think its just too hard to choose the best player, anyone from the GVFL team of the year.
Again the GVFL to be the best league in VCFL next year.

Saw saad play 5 or 6 games very good player, very flashy but i dont he'd b the no.1 palyer in the league i reckon hotton and a.stevens stood out above him.. i believe the most underrated player in the gvfl is linc wellington saw him play at the country champs...bloody great.. put his body on the line and took a side ways look
