Your kidding thats a disgrace! Can you post the side on the Rugby League board? They tend to get a bit upset by cross polinization at this site ...... and if a man named bluey contacts you that means your in trouble!

welcome aboard sara
good to have you here

we did about as well as could be accepted in the draw for next season

only one saturday afternoon game is a bit of a disapointment
5 games interstate is about as good as it gets
richmond, carlton and collingwood twice we just have to accept
but geelong and freo twice should be nice

I thought you were being tricksy BUBBA but I was giving you the benefit of the doubt that you wouldn't pick on me on my first day!

But, what can you expect from a Hawthorn supporter!!

Walshy - do we have 50,000 Friday night games again? Hopefully we might get them on TV at a decent hour up in Sydney now that the TV rights have shifted.

nope Sara, I reckon we are stuffed...CH9 has Fridays and they are not going to throw off the thugby for AFL...at least with ch7 we had an alternative. It took a bit of searching but I had finally found a club which showed the Bomber Games on Optus if they weren't live on 7.
But get this ...there is a strong suggestion that Ch9 won't let Friday night games be broadcast live on Foxtel In Sydney or Brissey ...so no live Dons.
And they want to start charging you to listen to them on the net radio.

I noticed that you travel interstate 5 times this year. That is more than you have done for as long as I can remember.

Travel for Victorian teams:-

Carlton - 4 times
Richmond - 4 times
Collingwood - 4 times
Hawthorn - 4 times
Melbourne - 5 times - including Brisbane home game
Dogs - 4 times
Roos - 7 times - including games in Canberra & Sydney
St Kilda - 5 times
Geelong - 5 times

The travel aspect of the game, has become a factor, small as it is.

It is becoming just as important to win away from your State as you do not know if you might have to play a Final away.

I have been taking note over the years of Victorian teams and their travel and I can tell you that it has increased from 3 to 5 over the past 2 years.

Essendon, it looks like, scored an extra game away than the majority of the rest of the field.

Had you, the supporter, noticed that your boys would be leaving the State as much as you are this year?

Strange draw. Fremantle twice? Kangaroos just once.

Sara

And there's nothing better than beating the Kangaroos - Fremantle will be too easy (she speaks too soon and Freo will have a surge and lurch into the finals on the back of two unlikely wins over the Dons!)

I hope they were purchased with winnings BUBBA! Everyone else (including me) did their dough. Next year I'll come to Melbourne and drag you out to Flemington and buy you a real beer!

Hair of the dog will fix you for now though!

Obligatory football content: there are grim mutterings from Sydneysiders over the free-to-air coverage next year. Doesn't look like much will improve, sadly.

Broke even on the race track ... well down with the alcohol expenses!
