Brisbane came 11th last season and Essendon came 13th. If it's Brisbane's time to rebuild, I don't know what time it is for the bombers, time for praying perhaps ;)

FootyGuru is a footy amateur! What does he know about the Lions? We sent his boys down to were they belong!
If Brisbane needs rebuilding, the Dons need sone very intense rebuilding. Our side isn't good as it was but it is in much greater shape than Essendon's team.
Vossy and Lappin still have very good football in them. This season was the rebuilding process. We lost Hart, Lynch and McRae who had lots of experiance and class. Caracella was no big deal. White and Pike looked finished. Depsite that, we found some future stars. Adcock, Drummond, Sherman, Troy Selwood, Corrie and Merrett showed their potential. For Corrie it was his second season, first full season and he showed that he could be a star. Merrett needs to improve. He needs to get the ball more otherwise he is a very good mark and he could be our future full-forward. Joel MacDonald has the running capacity but his disposal and judgement has been a let down.
For some players, I think a change in position might help. With the presence of Adcock and Drummond, maybe Johnson could go back to the forward line. Vossy is 30 now and Hadley needs to be given a go in the centre so maybe he could play upfront also. Bradshaw needs to work on his marking. I saw him drop too many chest marks this season. He has put in some top matches like the match against the Demons but games where he kicks five goals at least have to be more frequent.
Hadley and Beau McDonald will be back from injury and hopefully Brennan doesn't become like Beau. He was struggling with a quad injury throughout the whole year and if he didn't have that, he would have had a great year on the half-forward flank.

Spot on.
We should begin a rebuilding process just like Essendon. I'm certain that Camporeale, Heffernan and Mercuri are the future of Essendon, so we should possibly see if we can get Stefan Carey, Tristan Lynch and Derek Wirth. That is the only way we would be able to match Essendon's level.

lol nice thinking CJ! Although I was a bit disappointed you couldn't find a spot for someone like Petey Satori or Johnny McCarthy from the Fitzroy days in our future plans -- I've heard they've both kept in tiptop shape.

I was hoping that Tony Spassopoulos, Nick Trask, Roger Delaney and John Hutton would be a chance, but then we would flog the Bombers.
Trying to keep our rebuilding on a par with them.

We could also redraft David Calthorpe, put Warwick Capper on the rookie list, entice Shane O'Bree back form Collingwood and get Leigh to play forward pocket as captain-coach.
If the Bombers were able to get a full-strength outfit on the park, they might even give us a run for our money. :D

I think he is gone guys... :)It's better that way. We don't want to slaughter the Bombers in the ruck. We will just get Rod Lester-Smith instead. We can also convince Matt Rendell to stop being an assistant coach at St Kilda and play in the ruck for us. That will make the contest more even.
