Roughly 22, thats a bit of a specific number dont you think? where do you bendigo folks hear this s hit from, rumours rumours rumours, its all a load of S hit, thats like reading other posts that believe gisborne pays big dollars for players. the fact is the the majority of boys down there are actually from gissy and not brought in on the big bucks.I dont think to much of what young Don say's should be taken to seriously Tom , he is from Kangaroo Flat.

when did i say anything like that truth. i never said gisborne cant be beaten, i never said they would win the flag and i never said they were the best team ever i was just stating facts that in the last few years there has only been one side that has won when it has counted other than gisborne

i must of hit a real sore spot for you to get back on here carry on saying fcuk this and fcuk that maybe you should come up with something else other than showing how good you are at swearing.

stay wierd L O S E R!!!!

I'm pretty sure Sandhurst won when it counted...Or have you forgotten about that?

4 out of 5 not good enough Max? Sandhurst s hit there pants the following year and won 5 games and did not play finals.
Teams can pump the money in for 1 year have some success and then the club ends up broke and everyone leaves. Would not crow about 1 hit wonders.

I doubt wether you could say they pumped money into winning that flag, they were mostly Sandhurst juniors. And maybe if they had of stuck around we'd be talking about them not Gisborne??

Don't really care cos i don't like or follow either of them.

i get back from a two week business trip and still the same old gisbourne crap being posted about them not spending much for there last 4-5 years of success.
the truth is , if you did'nt spend 60 grand a year on getting an ex afl fat, drunken, gambler to the club as coach the club would be flagless not to mention the grand a week for james, houlahan and others on big cash, reaper, elliot , campbell etc..
the fact whether your a bottom side or top side clubs have to spend up big in todays footy .
im sure there are alot locals that play at scumbourne but i bet some of them get looked after to stop them going to neighbouring leagues.

gisbourne gooses stop talking crap and unless you the bloke that physical pays the players each week well then you know no more me!

at the moment you have bragging rights , that came at a cost, but this year i think your in for a rude awakening and long overdue i might add.

Hello big boy just a question you seem to make out like you know wazza and know who he is.......do you know him or are you just guessing these things. Also when you say to people that they are a "no body" at their respective club, that would be insinuating that you are a "somebody" and whilst the position of waterboy is very important in terms of player hydration i dont think it takes any real "know how" and its not like its a vital cog in the wheel that is a football club is it? I mean a clubs on field and off field success isnt dependent on the performance of its waterboy is it? So when you look at it like that it seems that you yourself probably arnt as important to your club as you make out are you?? But im sure the players all appreciate your efforts on a saturday and are wrapped to get a refreshing drink. Well done champ Well done:thumbsu:

With these two statement's in the same post , I believe you have just pipped warren as the biggest ever fcuk wit on big footy .

I have to say boy's, tall poppy syndrome is alive and well in the bendigo league , as i've said a million times you wont find many post's from the Gisborne boy's spruiking how good we are (you'll find me backing up stuff with fact's) You'll mainly find post's from us defending our club and player's from moron's like wassa , jjf, bloodhound , TH, ablett ,don, twita and the like . This is supposed to be a forum for general footy chat , but as soon as me or anyone from Gisborne mentions anything about our club , these co ck head's jump down our throats .

i believe most people in the Bfl (opposition player's included) respect Gisborne for what they've done since they've been in this league. Unfortunetly there's a fair few people on big footy that don't !!

Eaglehawk v Sunbury practice match at Eaglehawk this weekend i think boy's . Apparently former Gisborne player (now Sunbury) Damien Houlihan dominated in a intra club match last week . Pretty hard to stop this bloke when he's at his best . Also with Luke Beattie and Pat Davis in the Sunbury forward line the Eaglehawk backline will have some work to do . Might even head up there myself for this one .

How have the boys performed against them in previous meetings??
Will Bill play a full strength side??The last two practice matches have been very close games , with one win each so far .

In the past Gisborne havent played with a full strength side in any practice matches ( i dont think many do ) and i believe this week will be no different.

I tell you what though BB, your old mate KA has put a bit of pressure on Gisborne, writing a supposed undermanned Eaglehawk off after coping a hiding from Sunbury. If you blokes get beat by a similar margin will he write you off as well??

KA - where do your allegiences lie for this one?? It's time you came clean, are you a sunbury boy or a gisborne boy?? no fence sitting (despite the fact i think you might actually like sitting on fences, particularly the picket ones)

I am born and bred Gisborne - but my best mate coaches Sunbury so I have a lot of interest in them. He is ex SHC!

I have written of Eaglehawk - if I am wrong then I will apoligise. They will fight out 5th spot with Kynton but be no threat at all.

Anyway I have some footage sent to my private messages. It is from a Flat supporter who knows Wassa. He got this off him and now I can present Wassa to the rest of the big footy followers. You will need sound.

Take it away Was!

were u there mate? the burra had a few out themselves. at half time when the burra swapped their good players for the crap ones it was only a few goals the difference. not as bad as it seemed mate. you seem to know about sunbury, where do they rate in their comp??? will they beat gisborne this weekend.

Burra may have had a lot out - still I don't put them with Squre, South, Gis and Sandhurst. Do you disagree? Where will they finish?

Sunbury will be top 2 - they have recruit hard this year. Beattie from South has joined them. Redan, East Point and Sunbury will be the standouts with Ballarat the smokey.

Sunbury by 4 goals this Sat.

Sorry to jump in there, and correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't Eaglehawk win 11 of their last 12 H&A games last year? Then had a bad day and lost the elimination final to Sandhurst? Surely they deserve to be rated up with the other top 4 mentioned? Just a thought...

Now there's a real rivalry !!

This game will draw a bigger crowd than any in the home and away season in the bfl this year , without fail .

I know it sounds stupid but i live to play and beat sunbury as much as i do any Bendigo team.
To hate them all my life and line up asgainst them in a praccy match still makes me piss five times an hour thinking of it.
This game should be a cracker both teams wont be full strength but dont let that keep you away.
And you cant tell me serge wont be pushing his boys he was even keen to have look over the fence a couple of weeks back.

No way they are old and the old age policy at the club will see them slip more and more .
Filo i give him his credit he has been one of the finest country footballers to play and he will have the odd match were he has a cracker but he is past it , he dosent have the list to be their and they wont make finals this year and for the next five for that matter (unless $ come into it)the club needs a revamp they had some great 18's over the years but they just seem to loose them to the over 30's and these players move on.
I think it might be twenty in a row for Gisborne over eaglehawk this year something like that i dont even think the flat are anyway near that.

I disagree mate that they should be written off just because they lost a practice match but i agree that they are not as good on paper as those teams you mentioned and i think kyneton are better on paper as well but we all know what you do with paper and i'm just saying you never know they only have to win games at the right time and they are capable of anything maybe not the flag but maybe top 3 never write off the man with the big lips mate.

He would be great on a wing, or a flank. Not quite sure if he is strong enough to play on ball. Was on the Hawthorn rookie list.

To whom it may concern,

There has been great debate over my leadership abilities, my decision to leave Mount Pleasant and the condition of my foot injury in recent weeks and i have decided to let everyone know what is happening.

1. I was an outstanding leader at Kangaroo Flat and developed many kids to reach high levels of their potential. Tyson Holt, Nathan Moore, and Ron Wicks are terrific examples of this. I never hit late with elbows, players would headbutt my elbows late, not my fault! I will continue to be an outstanding leader with Eaglehawk and will probably fill a role under Ben Hynes, perhaps even co-captains.

2. Mount Pleasant are coached by a man who looks and talks like Kermit the Frog and i refuse to be lead by a muppet!

3. My foot has been coming along, the tinea is almost gone and i should be able to play in the lightning premiership. The foot isnt injured, but if i play with tinea, team mates may contract it in the showers after the game, its an OH + S thing.

I hope this clears up any questions that you big footy members keep posting. Thankyou for your time, go Hawks in 07!

Yours sincerly,

Damian Brown

Not really! He can go make a BDCA thread somewhere else and see if he get's many viewers. While Bendigo Cricket is great and top quality, there is a place for it and it's not on a football thread.

I'm always interested in Praccy matches, especially when two top sides from different leagues get to prove who is best. It's like an Inter-League grudge match.

Went and had a look at the practice match between North City & Bacchus Marsh last night in Ballarat. The game was played over 4 x 30min quarters with the Marsh playing their 2's for the first 2 quarters were they held there own against Norths senior 22 as they were lacking numbers, then the 2nd half was a dominate display by the Marsh kicked about 12 goals to North Citys 1. North City are in for a long year from what i saw last night.
