We had a big loss by 100 runs
I came in at 9/82 or so with about 40 overs left in the day, so me and my partner batted for survival, lasted 20 overs, avoided any chance of an outright loss so for that I was happy, mighty ********ed off at how I went out. Was playing the perfect forward defence all day then lost concentration, played a half defensive shot, didnt get across enough and it clipped the off stump bail
Even more annoying is it was about the first ball that probably would have hit the stumps from him :D He was bowling short
Made 12 off those 20 overs, blocked most overs out, scored a few singles when I lost the plot and smashed the ball through the big gaps, even hit a 6 straight down the ground as I was blocking but it was a half volley off a spinner, couldnt help myself
Overall I am happy, best controlled innings I have ever played, had a couple of crazy moments but survived when I tried to smash a few out of the park, then regained my composure. I blame the tea break for my dismissal, it broke my concentration and I struggled to get going again after it
Anyway, how did everyone else go? Anyone else willing to admit they lost? :D

I Scored 110 of 130 balls
There batting and they are 2/90

Back on topic: Bowled 11 overs for 17 runs, 5 maidens and 2 wickets [plus one dropped catch]. Made 1 not out. Overall team won by 7 runs.

Played my first ever game in the 1s @ home against a side that were runners up last year in a OD.
Opened the bowling into the wind and somehow managed 1/5 off my 10 overs. I was bowled out straight away so that helps. Also took a catch so I was rather pleased with myself as we held them to a gettable 151.
We then slumped to be 9/35 :eek: off about 20 overs when I came in at 11. I proceeded to nick two balls through slips for 3 runs each and got a single to be 7*. We put on the biggest partnership for our side for the last wicket of 32 as my partner went for it and hit three successive sixes. Overall a embarassing team performance :o
