The ABC Radio is discussing the team for he next time Australia tour England for the ashes. Jim Maxwell, Kerry 'scull' O'Keefe and Damian Fleming discussing it

They reckon, Ponting, Clarke, Katich, Hodge, Watson, Lee, Hussey, Bracken, Cullen, Tait and Haddin are the only blokes contracted with Cricket Australia have a chance to make the tour.
Thornley just received a mention. ROTFLMFAO! :thumbsd:

Didn't really name a team.
M.Hussey, Jacques, Clarke, Ponting, Hodge, Watson were some batters named. Fleming likes Callum Ferguson (possible future captain.) and some NSW young gun. Birt also mentioned.
Kerry liked Hartley because of his batting
Fleming liked Croswaite probably because he's Victorian.
Ronchi also in the mix
Lee, Bracken, Cullen, Tait, Johnson, Dorey, Bollinger, Griffiths and Wise were some of the bowlers named

How old will Ash Noffke be by 2009? He was rumoured to be the 'next McGrath' back in 2001/02 and 03, before fading away last summer.

he will be 32.
Noffke probably doesnt have a chance in the short term.. He's been plagued with injuries as of late.

Amazing. We still can't decide the make-up of the team for the Adelaide Test next weekend and we are trying to select the team for the 2009 Ashes?
