Pick 68 on Cupido? Brayden Shaw?

And it would be funny if we drafted Spaanderman with our very last pick when some were considering trading pick 17 for him!!

I guess these guys are on this list for a reason. Either they have committment with not enough ability or ability with not enough committment, so probably not.

Having said that, a few seem to be better than the last 1-2 players on our current list so might have been good pickups at around 80 if we had delisted another player. The problem is you really need to give them 2 years to establish, which creates problems in finding enough players to delist for next year's so-called super draft.

I suppose I wouldn't be desperately offended with getting any of these ...

Steven Greene, Hawthorn;
Tom Logan, Brisbane Lions;

These two are the ones I see some up side in. I think given more opportunity, either could become a good solid AFL footballer.

I think Cupido or Zantuck have the ability but lack the attitude and would be more trouble than their worth.

Pass on the rest.

I think Brent Guerra should be on that list, and might be worth a look at. I have heard the stories of off field issues though, so we will probably pass there too.

Logan for me. I think this guy has something but needs a special type of coach to bring it out of him.
And we have that type of coach.

hmmm i wouldve thought Lee Mathews was a pretty special sort of coach myself... if he couldnt get the best out of him i think Craigy may struggle too.

Horses for Courses Roodog, in that Matthews does really well at squeezing the extra 10% out of the best guys he's got. He doesn't have great patience and does very little with the guys outside his top 25 players. If Logan truly has the talent, he'd be well worth a punt as Craigy is far more of a players coach than Matthews and far less autocratic which may suit him-who really knows?

As for the others, I'd be taking a punt on a couple of lads called Smith and Schuback, I heard they really go alright and both are bound to be on the list for at least 5 years. You can't fault their survival skills and someone has to take on the high numbers at the guernsey presentation----No 98 Matthew Smith, No.87 Jacob Schuback...:D Their names seem very familiar though......
