It's all Collingwood's fault.

remeber this draft was incredibally even, if anyone had pendelbury tipped at 5 is a genious because i think no one saw that pick coming.

I got 6 right in my first 20 (Murphy Pfeiffer Jones Drum Bower and Dempsay), AFL shud give me a job.

In the AFL predictor game thingy I got 7 out of 10 exactly right.

Admittedly, I was going off what Burgan said so he deserves some cred.

My top 10 was buggered. Murphy and Drum were the only 2 i got right.

Yet Burgatron said there was a very real possibility that he would go at 5.

Go figure.

i think the key is the std deviation, and he seems to have done much better than anyone else in this regards.

more to the point plenty of mocks were altered off the back of his predictions; and were better for it.

He'd want to do better with his access to footbal managers, player managers, recruiting managers etc.

I just think that plenty of one a year draftniks have a completely unrealistic view about the pre-draft hype. I think those who have been around a while barely bat an eyelid if a guy goes from 20 to 60. Not much difference between those picks at the end of the day.

A top-10 guy not getting drafted is worth talking about. A top-20 guy not getting even a rookie listing is worth talking about. Anything else is not newsworthy and even getting the names of guys drafted becomes a good get after pick 30 or so, regardless of order and clubs.

Have to agree with that sentiment specially considering his "inside" connections and time spent researching the players.
