It was featured in the Herald Sun on Sunday that Shane Tuck signed a reported 3-year deal on the Saturday prior. This is great news for the RFC because I believe Tuck is one of the keys to any future success the club will endure in the next 10 years. :)

I ran into Michael Tuck at Cowes Golf Club a month or so ago. He said at the time that Shane was close to signing and was "loving it" down at Richmond. He also said Shane should have won the b & f. Hard to argue with really.:thumbsu:

Great he is stitched up for another three years - given
Schitloads of hard work still to go for him .
So instead of all and sundry running around back slapping and sitting back on our laurels and thinking the boy has made it ( Daffy , Naish , Pickering , Ryan ) etc . etc. etc ....... time to say " Alright Tucky , lets spend the next three years showing us last year wasn`t a fluke ".
I hold my head in my hands when i read some of the repeditive hari-kari i read on hear .

IDGAF, I'd be one of the first to say our ol' favourite "let's keep a lid on it", but with Tucky one just gets the feeling that he's going to be a workhorse for us over the coming seasons. He seems to love the grunt, the tough stuff, the heat. Not one of those "flashy" players that run hot and cold, and can turn off like a tap.
I'm stoked we have this bargain basement, although I do agree that he needs to keep it up.

dont know what Gas, hally or Krak have ever done to deserve that tag....call Krak what u like but he aint no girl....I once saw him cop full brunt of an archer forearm to the head and didnt flinch...Most weak c#### would be spread eagled leading to certain suspension for the aggressor.
Wonder how you'd respond if in Kraks shoes, i can guess
Be a little more measured in your posts, broadsides aimed anywhere say more about the boofhead that you are than the subject of your post...

Just to add my tuppence worth ....I'm old I know and no I didnt play footy at the highest level or close but I did play and coach a lotta years. I was taught and always taught others...."don't kid yourself ...if they step over the white line they deserve your respect". Very few "girls" survive too long, particularly at AFL level. I'd be very careful about using that term to any AFL player let alone using it to describe one of our own.
How the hell you could apply it to someone who played the week after breaking their cheekbone and with plates in their face has got me stuffed! I'm obviously missing something.

Tucky needs to put his head down and his @rse up and work 20% harder than he did last preseason to improve on the foundation that was laid last year
That has to be his mindset .... and everybody elses for that matter .

bowden has become alot tougher over the last 18 months. Before 2004 I would had said he was soft, but since then. He has gained the courage and confidence after several years of AFL ;)

Great news about Tuck. Must admit I thought he signed weeks ago, so it's good to know he has officially committed to the club.
Strange comment on Bowden. I'll stick with the knowledgeable opinions of the people at the club who've seen fit to vote him club champion 2 years running. He deserved to win the B&F.

I see your point GAFman but its a good move for the Tiges. Don't think anyone on the list (possibiliy except Richo, Gas, Staff) is going to get an armchair ride through the preseason. Wallace and Tucky both remember where Tuck was this time last year.... Nowhere.

but just don`t go hailing him as having "arrived" as a bona fide star just yet .

Much harder to have a good season when you are a reconised A-Grade midfeilder than when you are known.
Ripping season last year - IMO our best player, should have won the B&F.
Praying he backs it up with another equally good year.

Calling a player who has PROVED courage a girl is one thing, but one of your own? A leader at your own club who has won your clubs last two best and fairests? Hey SQUARE! Whats with the chip on your shoulder?
I really dont understand how anyone can really dislike a player at their own club. Does that mean you dont cheer if he kicks a match winner after the siren? Or lays a tackle on an opponent otherwise running into an open goal? I dont understand it the slightest.
