Make sure you put out the deck chairs and Tim Tams for Mick and Geoff. Lattes would be nice too.
Hold the camp in lock down.
Give Mr Moylan nothing.

On a Port Adelaide perspective, I can not see us taking McEntee, so there’s nothing to worry about there. Rischbieth, I’m not sure about this lad he sounds like Neil Craig the second so you guys can take him. So we will just take Bode, thanks for letting him train with you guys though. :D

Ummm yeah. I am sure the Port boys have already seen Jace Bode play. Not sure whether or not a few handball sessions are going to make any difference

I don't believe you. Unless there has been an unexpected string of deaths in your support base where will the club find money for rookies.

How about some Monte Carlos and a cup of tea from Alan Stewart's thermos. They're all friends!
I read in the same article Port might invite some of the same train-ons to a camp we're holding a week later. You guys can come to that, I'm sure there's still holes in the fence at Alberton ... ;)

Old habits die hard. Its a question of, if the hole was cut out of habit by those trying to break in or those who have just got out.
Incidently, while we're on this track, cant the Port boys share a buscuit like normal. One Milk Arrowroot is usually enough for about 10 Port blokes isnt it?
hehehe:p

mate if Elliot was a super talent he woudl have got pick up on the weekend, he is a vanilla midfielder... nothing overly special, has okay skills, not overly quick and not overly tall, plenty of better players than him over looked.

Considering the amount of cr@p you have spoken in the last few days you'll excuse me if I don't take your word for it.

3 seasons in a row without a single loss. That's about 35 games. Moved up to the highest division straight after that, and well it kind of ruined my confidence. I'm still good though.

Better believe it Springy, this time we also have a 'rookie camp' a week after yours. And, better believe it, the same guys you would have dressed up in new adidas singlets at your camp will be in nike singlets the week after at Alberton. Word is we will be having a full rookie compliment of four on our books this year. The beauty of it is that at least we get to pick ahead of you in both the PSD and Rookie draft this time around...

I'm not sure why that matters. We're the masters of picking the smokeys in the rookie/ps drafts. No doubt we'll do it again, despite what picks Port have. :thumbsu:

Elliott , not that quick??? equal 6th or 8th in 20 metre sprint at draft camp! have you done your homework? played great footy last season, injury this year put the stopper on him a bit, but nothing permanent. If this lad gets a chance at rookie listing he could well prove to be the diamond in the rough. Mark my words;)

i know that he was 6th at draft camp but the way he runs he accelerates late, he is quite slow of the mark... and if he is as good as drummond and you seem to think so he would have been taken in the draft on the weekend considering many consider it to be a shallow draft... elliot is just another vanilla midfielder.
What happened to Josh Sampson?

Interesting point. Who would be ahead in this one, Port or the Crows ?
We upgraded Hinge and Griffen, granted that neither have made an impact at AFL level yet, but both must show something or they wouldn't have been promoted. Pearce on the other hand has shown something at AFl level, but hasn't quite set the world on fire.
Will be interesting to see how it all pans out in the years ahead.
EDIT - You're right though. Why we bothered to take a chance on a run-of-the-mill HBF'er is beyond me. Better off taking a chance on someone with a bit of X-Factor like Pearce.

Just on recent history, I think you can say port are ahead. apart from Pearce, you guys still cringe WRT passing Kane for Lawrence; think the same can be said WRT swapping pick 12 (Shaun B) for Mat Bode; not really sure what you gave up for Rhett but you may have won that one.

He is bottom age so he can't be drafted in the PSD or RD.

Incorrect, his Bday is the 28/1/1987 making him 19 next jan, easily making the cut off date for the rookie draft! where did you get your infomation?

My bad. I didn't check thorougly enough. On footydraft.com, they have "*" next to those players eligable to be picked up in the PSD and Rookie draft. According to that list he is ineligable but if you click on his name, it takes you to his profile where his DOB indicates that he is clearly eligable.
Over 20 metres?
its over the initial 5-10ms that he is slow, he then accelerates late over the next 10-15m, at this level its the first 5-10 that count....
