View Full Version : Att Port Melbourne fans - Adrian Bonaddio
Channel 10 have stated that Port Melbourne's ADRIAN BONADDIO is training with the Crows. His details from the pmfc website are:
Number 32
Born 25 May 1986
195cm 96kg
From De La Salle/ Oakleigh Chargers
I have also found some stats on the VFL site, it appears he is a forward. He played 16 games in the reserves for nearly 40 goals and 4 matches in the seniors.
Here is the link - I hope it works

Could you please provide a bit more info on his playing ability? He's a big unit, does he have the skills required for a key forward at AFl level? Is he worth rookie listing?
cheers

Bona is tall player who still looks like he is settling into his body.. possible CHF KP player that you would have to give a couple of years as a project player.
Saw him take some strong marks in the two's this year, and his kicking improved as the season went on. Was good in the U22 rep game prior to the state match in late May, and played a few games in the ones.
The Borough would be looking for him to play the majority of the season in the Seniors.
As someone else said, he's not quick but could grow into a good footballer at VFL level. Crows would be looking to rookie him I guess.

Yep, would be a good experience for him to be rookied by the Crows.
A year or two playing SANFL football would be good for his development in my opinion anyway.
Does anyone know if any clubs have shown interest in Gilham, also from Port Melbourne after he won the goalkicking in VFL Reserve Grade ?

Think Gilham is training with the Bombers.

Is that with a view to being taken in the pre season draft, he got a decent rating from the Port Melbourne officials in Inside Football ?

That's Stephen Gilham at Essendon.
Unless both Stephen and Andrew are training there,.

I swear that bloke has the worst kicking action of any footballer I have seen.
Big, angry customer. Will Minson, but not quite as big and a worse kick (yes, that is possible). Long shot to play AFL games, but who knows?

He might benifit from an AFL pre-season, but I dont think playing in the SANFL would benifit him anymore than playing senior footy at Port this year.
