Hansen has earned the spot. Hunter is too small as a crash and back CHF. He is better as a leading forward playing deep in the forward line.

Hansen has earned it. He will be there at the start of the year, but if guys like Staker and McDougall step up and Gaspar can get his body right there may be some competition for the position.

You would be crazy not to put Hansen there in 2006, had an alright 2005 for a young player and we looked like we actually had someone to go from the midfield into the foward line through instead of Judd Cousins Fletcher Kerr getting it down there and watching it come right back out

Only Hansen and Gasper could realistically play CHF next season.

I cant even see why this question would even have been raised as Hansen has not put a foot wrong in the last 8mths of the footy season, and to thing that Gasper would be a better option is just silly the guy has to worry about staying on the field for a whole season before he can prove to hold down a key possi long term IMO. Ash Hansen will only get better!!!!

Why?

Why?

It's all to do with his vitriolic nature when it comes to things I say. But meh, who cares. Staker is more mobile, more aglie, faster and a better mark than Hansen. The only reason Hansen gets a game ahead of Staker at CHF is because he has the bulk. Add the bulk to Stakers frame and we will see who is the new CHF.

I agree with most of that and I would also say Staker is better below his knees and a better tackler. I also think he would provide more pressure on defenders coming out of defense. However, i'm not sure that Staker is a better mark, I think they are similar in marking ability. Hansen is a better kick and moves the ball forward more quickly than Staker. I think that Hansen, having more experience as a forward, knows how to time his leads a little better, or at least with more consistency. Certainly his body-on-body work is currently better than Stakers but there is no reason why Staker couldn't learn to do this.

More mobile, agile & faster probably. Don't know about the better mark though. Hansen IMO is certainly a better kick and has the football smarts that Staker has yet to demonstrate. Staker is also too easily bumped off the ball in contests at this stage I think.

But both are young and have heaps of upside. Hansen is first choice for mine at this stage of their development.

You love an obvious poll question don't you?

Everyone voted for Hansen at CHF, but you still started a separate poll about our CHF/FF combination. Like we have any options at FF apart from Smith.

Why bother?
