in that little town in France following WWI....Villers Britinairs (sp ?, coorectness ?) somehting like that.

Villiers-Bretonneaux - above the door of the local school. Every Remembrance Day, the schoolchildren lay flowers on the Australian graves and sing "Waltzing Matilda". I haven't been to the village on Remembrance Day and Anzac Day, but I know a few people who have..and they say it is very moving.

Satay Mat - you were so close I'll give it to you, you obviously knew the answer, just couldn't quite nail the name but thats fine.

Thanks also to Roylion who was right on the money.

I haven't been there either, but an elder brother of mine was at the school on Rememberance Day 1999 and he said that it was a tremendous experience and one could really feel the huge feelings of goodwill and affection from the French locals towards the visiting Australians.
