Dan Lonergan was on 774 3LO this morning on the breakfast show (hosted by Jeff Richardson and Ian Cover in Red Symons' absence) and mentioned he was off to the club later in the morning, as today is an opportunity for selected journos to train with the Doggies (follows on from a similar exercise last year, I believe). Apparently Rodney had some boxing and other fun stuff in store for them - hope he didn't go too hard on Dan, we have to look after our supporters in the media!! Did anyone see the team plus journos train this morning?

:( , how do I fix up the title of the thread? Fingers were typing too fast if people are wondering who the hell Journso is....!! No, he's not another rookie.

Matthew Hardy got an invite but had to decline because he had a minor operation, so they auctioned off his place with the proceeds going to the Whitten Foundation.

The guy who won the auction was on SEN tonight, he gave the spot to his 11 year old son as a Christmas present - fair Christmas present.

The bloke couldn't get out enough thanks and superlatives for Eade and the team and said that although his son is (was) a Richmond supporter he will be neutral round 1.

I'd like to see the 11 y.o. write up his experiences:)

Maybe they should hold a training day for members - I think it would do us good to see how tough this footy gig is, and how hard the players (even those we label soft) work. Maybe some of us should compete for hard ball gets against West and Cross as well...

Theres things I'd love to do in life. That'd be near the top of the list.

Or for the very brave, do marking drills against Brian Harris.

I'd like to see a scratch match, Caroline Wilson vs Brian Harris - No rules!

Poor old Brian would end up looking like one of those zombies from An American Warewolf In London with scratches from head to toe!

Or she could spit on him, she is a Richmond supporter after all! [Sorry, couldn't help myself]:D

I actually agree. Brian having to see her legs in natural sunlight would ruin anyones day.

Great for the PR. Every paper ran with it. Another master stroke by our PR team.

Or a rucking contest against Streeta.
