He was pretty good in 2005, went missing every now and then, but I thought he was among our best in the Grand Final.
I kind of invisioned him along the half back line, as a dashing "quarterback" style player, but the Pund is our McKenna-like quarterback (even though he's a backpocket).
Does he stay down back? Maybe move to half forward? Or is he best used on a wing? Will he stay a solid player with a bit of flair? Or will he break out and be more of a star?

Nookie can panic a bit under pressure (mainly due to his lack of a right foot) but i think this year we will see what he is made of. I think his best position is on the wing but he will play mainly on the half back line. The best thing about his game is his pace and his long kicking so he is suited to the wing.

I had my doubts but I am confident that he will be the next player to really kick on next year. I expect him to push up the ground next year. Whether that means playing off a wing or attacking halfback. I dont think he is strong enough in the air to be a forward. His pace and kicking skills are best used running towards goal, not with his back to them. He could be used in bursts up forward though. I think he could be a pretty special player, the one thing holding him back was his decision making. If he can improve that he will be a very damaging play. I would almost rate him our most penetrating kick.

No chance what about Wirra.

Wirra is a good kick. Very accurate but Nicoski's footskills move quicker through the air and I think he is a longer drop punt than Wirra. If we timed the period the ball travelled in the air for both Wirra and Nicoski's 50m drop punt...I would back Nicoski's to get their quicker. Just more penetrating. I would back Wirra to hit more targets though.
If you go to afew training sessions and you watch the boys kick one after the other over the same distance to the same lead, I think you would agree. You really get a gauge for the players raw ball skills.
Another product of our rookie list, Actually came to the club as a 20 year old similiar to Priddis and has done alot of good things.
Showed great signs early, but I was very worried after his shoulder injury, he looked scared after it but he has grown out of it and done some great things. Needs to find a right foot though.
Interesting comment I heard from Braun the other week (didnt post it originally cos i doubt he wud want me to blab it out) that Nicoski might be given a crack on a wing whilst Braun regains full fitness.

Probly the ideal wingman. Tall, booming kick, quick, kicks goals, runs with footy.

A wingman for sure a touch to loose for HBF but one very attacking wingman.
A Mainwearing that can kick ,now that has a pleasant sound to it!:D

I think this guys gonna be a big hit. He has an awesome kick, with very good accuracy. He has good vision, and his chip passes are spot on more times than not.
I hope he can be a starter, or at least a major player in the coming campaign.

i agree with most people that i'd like to see him used more on the wing.
He's good in defence but does get lost a bit because he's clearly not a natural defender - but he's still been pretty solid.
The only problem for him is getting a gig on the wing. Usually on our wing is Embley and another of the midfielders who's getting a "rest" like Fletcher, Braun or Judd....

Why was it funny and crap then?
Because i have been at training and at games and wirra is a more penetrating kick than nookie. I thought it was funny how he went into so much detail.

I thought I needed to explain it to you or at least explain the point I was trying to make. As someone of your unimaginable intellect would understand, it is preferable that you expand on your point rather than produce 1 line responses with nothing to back it up.

Look its my opinion against yours the only way to settle this is to get some stop watches and hope that wirra and nookie come down to my local park and start doing 50 metre stab passes.
