i think the number who were in recent premierships have to have 2 years before they can be used not 1 no 5 has had 2 years off
so we won;t see no 16 until 2008

i disagree with saddington getting no.9, that should have been saved for next years first draftee. I dont like the idea of recycled players having our single digit numbers. I would have liked to see bentick receive a lower number.

Just realised No.7 could well be available for next years star, so i dont mind as much.

Only 12 of the 44 remain from that disastrous 2002 season (including Waite who didn't debut until 2003). Including rookies and short stints on the senior list, we have turned over more than 40 players in 3 years. Can't say we aren't trying to rebuild.

Strange that they didn't keep number 5 in mothballs for another season with Sam Sheldon expected to be drafted as a Father/Son in either of the next two seasons.

Ok, with a full list and some people thinking a few numbers might be saved for a year, I'll revisit my 1st post. Still can't see no.5 being held onto for another year for Sammy Sheldon but hey I am most likely wrong!!!

Got all but Saddington and Bower around the wrong way. The rest are correct predictions!
1-7 are all very young :)
i think the number who were in recent premierships have to have 2 years before they can be used not 1 no 5 has had 2 years off
so we won;t see no 16 until 2008
premiership numbers only need to be out of circulation for 1 season but can be longer, was not given in 2005 ie. j russell as he got no.2
generally round 1 draft picks get a single digit number, all depends on availibility.
Very promising times ahead.. hope they all come good

I say give No 16 away this year... loyal players should have their jumpers retired not rats that jump ship :D LOL... still hate the fact that Aaron Ham peed all over No 4!!!
Murphy was a certaintly to get 3, no surprises there. Like the idea of Kennedy getting 5, looks like a bit of a tradition starting with some of our top draftees fetting low numbers
Walker - 1
Russell - 2
Murphy - 3
Kennedy - 5
Suspect 4 & 7 could be available in the next season or 2 as well.
