It's been mentioned plenty of times of how many players we turned over this off season. Rodger James, Jarred Poulton and Matty Primus retirement has been talked about as well.

Lets now reflect on blokes that were delisted by the PAFC this year against their wishes. .

Brett Montgomary, Stephen Gillham, Luke Peel, The Roach,

Monty- Was a great player at the club, at his best their were few that could play on him. His leap and his attack at the footy made him a please to watch. He was a club champion and Premiership player. Port made a hard football decision, he was not happy with it. It leaft fom of the port faithful with a sour taste in their mouth. But he gave great service to the club. I wish him all the best in the future back at the Doggies.

Luke Peel- This kid was a seriously big waste of our time. He never gave us anything but a headache. North Adelaide to the Eagles. But still the same issues. You can not get it right every time. But this kid was so far from the mark it was not funny. What a waste of $100,000 for his 2 years on the list.

The Roach- again, not a much liked player on this board. He played some good games for the Power in a negative tagging role. But that is all he ever was. I still am shocked to see he actaully played 50 game for the Power. I guess Choco's gold pass served him well. But thankfully it ran out at the end of last season and was shown the door. Is said to be playing for centrals next season.
Gillham- this kid can play football. When I have seen him play at North he looked great. Was a really good reader of the play. He was pick 16 in the National draft but was a Splinter of a man. It just seemed he could not put on the beef. Therefore he was never going to make it at AFL level as a KPP as he would get killed. He played one game for the Power as an emergency but got limited playing time. Good luck with the future at the Hawks

Good luck to all the boys. Most of these have had the honour of being Port Players which is something to be proud of. I hope this years draft class will improve our list.

With respect to Cochrane, irrespective of his ability or not he gave it all. If other players blessed with greater skills were to put in as much as he has/does then they would forge a great career. That is not always the case.
Keeping that in mind, all we can really say to him is thanks and good luck with your future.
