Yep, still no sight of them, or Blues_Man for that matter. Blues man averages around about 20 posts a day, and only an event of this magnitude could have steered him away from the site.
Hodge batted well as i've already stated.
I'm actually glad to see him doing well on the Test stage. Didn't think he would and i was wrong. I'll cop that.
I just hope he follows it up and doesn't fall into the Michael "One Series Wonder" Vaughan club.
Why would i leave? If you left whenever you made a wrong call half the people here wouldn't still be posting.

I wish the lad well at the MCG but I'm reserving my judgement on him for a couple more Tests yet. After watching the Test fizzle out today it makes you wonder if the SA tactics were to keep Hodge in for as long as possible in order to save the Test match :p
It worked, so all those dropped catches etc. might have been deliberate. :D:D

If they had dismissed Hodgey early they would have won the game in under 4 days

   By keeping Hodge-Podge in the team they stand a greater chance of winning the remaining Tests. If they really tried he would have had two more failures and been replaced by an aggressive number 4 batsman who could take their attack apart. ;)
Let's see if he gets runs at the MCG and SCG, not a joke wicket like the WACA now is. :p :p

Well he made 10 times his WACA average in this match, so on that same average improvement, he will smash 500 at the MCG where he averages over 50:D

I know you have never seen the great man bat before, but he is a quick scorer when the conditions suit, the WACA suited slow batting, the MCG he will unleash, like he always does

Getting the starts, cant go on with it. Pollock and Ntini will destroy him when he has to come in during the first over

A no hoper just like "Hodge Podge". Did I mention that is one of the most amazing nicknames I've ever heard? You must be proud Blues Man.

Did you hear the commentators when Hodge was batting with Hussey and Ponting?
These 2 are very quick between the wickets
But Blues_********er says he is fat?

It's well known Hodge is a brilliant runner between wickets, always has been. Shows how much knowledge Blues man has

Mind you...the south african commentator on 774 said that Hodge and Symonds were two of the best fielders in the world??
Hodge and fielding don't go together at all.

You know you've made it when you have a thread made about you.
Hodge's batting is looking ok. Obviously the double century was a class knock. Looked a bit out of sorts in front of his home crowd.
In all honesty...i didn't realise how average is fielding was. He's competent but compared to the rest of the team he gets shown up. I think short legs his position as he seems to have pretty good reflexes. Just looks slow in the outfield.
He'll get it back in Sydney when Langer returns.
