:) You have got yourself a real gun. Don't care what Neal Dun-har-ta-coach thinks, Armstrong has stacks of class and skill and will do well at a club that respects his talent. Hope he kick arse out west.

Armstrong is ripping it up in pre season and will definetly get promoted if he continues the way he is, working very hard, just lookin good in general. Had a great game in the pre season scratch match I saw.

Many things went against Armstrong in Melbourne and hopefully they are behind him.

He will find it very difficult to get a spot in our mdifield with the likes of Cuz, Judd, Kerr, Embley, Braun and Fletcher. Then there is Stinger and Selwood, Butler...

Bloody tough to get in there.

Will get a crack if Sampi fails in the forward pocket maybe. Hard work shud be rewarded though with atleast a promotion from Phils departure.

Second chances can really bring the best out of some players. He is good around goals but his ball skills are exceptional. I have always thought that. Too bad, the coach at Melbourne couldn't see it.

and he will be more than welcome at our club (Perth FC) when he plays for us in the WAFL :D

Except for the fact he is thinking of going to Swan Districts to play with his younger brother.

Shocked me, big family history at Perth. Dissappointing.

He might be THINKING about it, but changing host clubs would be more trouble than it's worth. Besides, we've seen him at PFC a few times since he got drafted. It would be up to the Eagles to re-align him to SD if it was so necessary to him. I can't see why he would want that much disruption in his preparations. After all he is here solely to play AFL and kick @$$ for the EAGLES. Can't wait to see him do well for them.

i really rate armsrong as a player....i reckon he can become a real gem for u guys.
but my one concern is with your midfield i think he will struggle for games. he has 2 years on the rookie list now...i think no matter how well he is playing he should stay on for the second year. this will enable him to step straight in as some of the other guys get a bit older and more experienced and as more of the list id turned over.

best of luck to the kid.

Problem for Armstrong is that he is a rookie and will only be elevated if there is a long term injury and he is promoted ahead of one of the oher rookies.

Armstrong is a quality fotballer from a quality football family.
Recruited I,m sure as a potential small forward to replace Matera.
This was a position he was probably earmarked for at Melbourne before injury and Aaron davey appeared out of know where.
Not sorry to have him on our list. If determination counts he will be an asset.

Well the opportunity seems to be there for Armstrong but there are plenty of others (Le Cras, Morton, Sampi) who are probably eyeing off the forward pocket spot as well. He will have to earn it, and show that he can kickk a bunch of goals !
