Rumor has it that Bentleigh FC is recruiting some big guns for the 2006 season. I heard that a couple of ex AFL players (over 100 game players) will be playing? Anyone have any news on this rumor?

I haven't heard this rumour, however I do know one thing. Bentleigh has one of the greatest AFL lookalikes in the VAFA. I think the guys name is Adaway, he is a dead ringer for Wayne Carey, little bald spot and all. Much more Careyesque than that Club 18 player from Prahran that was being touted as the King's double.

Back to your rumour, it wouldn't surprise me if ex-AFL players were heading to Centre Road. Rumours have been about for years that Bentleigh employ a payroll officer.

He is a not so Careyesque up close, especially when the ball is in his hands.... but not a bad lookalike just the same.
