Ohh and for anyone saying that Vaughan is Better than Ponting take your medication. Ponting is Number one Batsem in BOTH forms of the Game where as Vaughans Best ranking is around 17.

Actually, not even a year and a half- they won it in September of 2005 and will lose it no later than January of 2007- only 16 months. They're trying to savour it as much as they can....don't think the people at Lords are as trusting with the Ashes as the NHL is with the Stanley Cup, though- each player on the Cup winners gets the cup for a day to show off- much like they used to do with the Sheffield Shield....

Australia are way better than England, they won one Ashes series, woah. They are a rabble of a ODI team and there Test side defeated Australia 2-1 when Australia played there worst cricket, the middle of Englands season, the middle of Australias off season.
The 5 grounds:
WACA - England's batsman will struggle against the bounce and Lee & Tait will destroy them.
Adelaide - Perhaps Englands best chance? nah dont be silly.
GABBA - England will get smashed by an innings at Brisy no doubt, every team does.
SCG - Shane Warne & Sutey MacGillvs Giles/Udal/Blackwell - take your pick all dead set duds and wont trouble the aussies at home on the spinners wkt. The Aussies will win this match because England cant play spin and Englands bowlers will get smashed on this wkt, they have no spinners.
MCG - England will struggle with the hype and fall into a hole. the series will be ours by then.
England struggle badly in Australia and there team hasnt changed much since the Ashes. The only players who stand in our way are Flintoff, Pietersen and maybe Harmison. Hoggard, Jones, Giles will get spanked, they will struggle here. Trescothick & Strauss are inconsistent and can never rely on them. Vaughan if wasnt captain would be dropped he is pathetic now. Collingwood hows he get a game lol. Bell - warney will have a big smile on his face.
good luck england, no where near the best team, i think some of them knw it, if they can beat us here they can call themselves the 2nd best in the world.

Get over it people.
Australia is the better team, England outplayed Australia all over except for Lords thoroughly deserve it, while the series also showed that the line of failure and success is so thin as seen in Edgbaston when we almost stole a win that we didn’t deserve.
And lets hope that in 5 years we look back and think losing it may be the best thing to happen for a while. Australia is going through a period of restructuring itself and who here can honestly not wait for the next Ashes series? I am going to get a 5-day pass for the game in Melbourne.
That said, you don't become the best side in the world over one test series, you have to maintain a high standard for a long period of time, England had done that going into the Ashes, did it during the Ashes now the question remains whether they will do it.

Do you suffer from selective memory or something? After the Ashes and even now heaps of us Aussie supporters congratulated England on their efforts and how they outplayed us. Geeeeez.
Though their are some who think England won by fluke.....just ignore them though.
