Tasmania: Michael Di Venuto (captain), Dane Anderson, George Bailey, Michael Bevan, Travis Birt, Luke Butterworth, Xavier Doherty, Adam Griffith, Ben Hilfenhaus, Darren McNees, Tim Paine and Adam Polkinghorne.

Queensland: Jimmy Maher (captain), James Hopes, Clinton Perren, Brendan Nash, Nathan Reardon, Lachlan Stevens, Chris Hartley, Andy Bichel, Nathan Hauritz, Mitchell Johnson, Michael Kasprowicz and Steve Paulsen.
Teams (12th men to be announced):

Bevan and Luke Butterworth, both members of last season's winning side will make their returns to the one-day game after off-season surgery.
They will replace Michael Dighton and Shannon Tubb.

For the Bulls, left-handers Brendan Nash and Lachlan Stevens have been recalled at the expense of Craig Philipson and Chris Simpson, who were part of a recent middle-order collapse against the Warriors.

Stevens scored his maiden first-class century against the Warriors last month, while Nash comes off an impressive 153 for the Queensland Academy of Sport 2nd XI.

Every game for QLD is sudden death- lose this one and the finals are over.

Good that Philipson and Simpson got the chop. Stevens is no good but I hope he does actual score quickly. Nash should be super sub.

For some reason Paulsen is the super sub. He did very well in the last game while Stevens and Nash are very slow when it comes to one day batting. Great selections.......

Just wish he wouldn't start so many idiotic threads- can clog up the board when there is a good discussion. Mind you, there is a lot of crap on the boards right now without him starting threads

LOL.
Cricket Australia website is a joke at times.
A couple of weeks ago it had Ponting down as opening bowler for Australia complete with fictitous figures of 1/17 off 4.1.

Paine must have kept, he is listed at 6. Dawson injured or dropped??

Bevo boundary, Tassie move to 39 for 2.

Nicely poised match.

Brilliant stuff QLD- absolutely pathetic. I do not blame the bowlers- they tried hard with a pathetic total to defend. The batting was dismal to say the least. Anything over 200 could have given them the game.

The ING campaign is officially over- maybe we are an outside chance of playing in the final for the Pura Cup.

You almost expect it of him, don't you? ;)

I was more pleased with the performance of Paine though, from a future Tasmanian perspective. He came in at 5/83 with the side in all sorts of trouble and was the major partner in the stand with Bevan. Good stuff! :thumbsu:
