we talk a lot about the players......evaluate them. Ok, what about the coaches at Carlton........good value or not?

I'm not a huge fan of Pagan's but we've got an ordinary (but improving) list, so i'd imagine we'd struggle no matter who was coaching. The next 2 - 3 years will give a better indication of how the coaching staff is perfoming.

Pagan has been told he needs to re-invent himself and to his credit has taken that on board so i'm told. Will be interesting to see how the team responds this year.

Hard to say, Pagans wage seems to fluctuate between 350-400K to 800-850K depending on the agenda of the person quoting the figure. I have even less idea what the rest of the coaching panel are earning.
So I'll say maybe, maybe not.

I quite like the idea of getting Dempsey and Daniher to the club. Both specialists in their fields. Time for Libba and Elshaug to deliver, although Elshaugh has been with Pagan for ages. Time will tell i guess as the quality of our list improves.

Not a troll, but there must be queries on the attitude of Terry Daniher. After leaving Essendon's coaching panel he joined Collingwood and although as a forward coach did get fantastic results he was fired after one or two seasons, same with St.Kilda. Will be interesting to see what happens at Carlton.

met terry daniher at a intra club practice match last year. talked to him for quite a while, he was scouting the hawks because saints played the hawks in the pre-season comp. never have i met a nicer guy, just polite and so easy to talk to. the only thing he didnt have a grip on was the hawthorn players. he would have been lucky to know 20 players out the 40 on show. a true legend of the game, but maybe doesnt sleep breath and eat footy like some of his fellow coaches.

Dempsey, Daniher - hell i'd take them any day.

As for Pagan,
Apprenticeships for all.
The old Hawthorn way, 2 years in the magoos
Fast tracked nowadays, but kept his drafties from 2004,
earning a spot, building bodies,
no-one is a gimee,
Betts, granted,

All looks good for next season/s.

Very excited for next year.
Can't wait!
