Apparently the Blues intend to re-draft Cranage in the national draft? Not quite sure why they had to delist him in the first place.:confused:

Have to delist him because we our salary cap is too tight but he is contracted for 2002 so that salary counts as well unless he gets a new contract. By delisting him and redrafting him, we can draw up a new contract for less money. The sweetener for Cranage is he will get to stay on in 2003 regardless of how well he does this year and should pick up more money in the second year.

The only worry I have is if they know they are tight now, they must already know their preseason draft plans and have only allowed for the minimum wage youngsters in the draft. Would seem unlikely that we will pick up any more aging experienced players during the offseason.
