I read a rumour saying that he was signing with my sanfl club, Glenelg for 2006. Can any hawk fans give me some info, thoughts on him?

Thanks

havent heard anything bout him siging anywhere, but we picked him up in the rookie draft, was meant to go in the National draft, but was overlooked..didnt get a game for us this year and didnt get another year on the rookie list..heard he had alot of talent, but overlooked to many times in my opinion.

echuca, his hometown, tried to lure him back to the gvfl but it's been reported in the local rag here that he wants to go to a safl club, so it sounds like your rumour could be fact.

Yeah this is true, had a drink or two with Ruory on saturday night and he said he was keen to play in the sanfl next year. He didn't mention a club but said he was hopeful the deal would be done this week.

Plays as a floating tall. Not big enough to hold down a KP role and lacks a bit of mobility but I was a big fan.

big disappointment to lose the kid, mystifying in ways due to 12 months of glowing reports of his skill and courage, only sus references were to his light frame still and Viney commented that Ruory needed to put the hard yards in.......???? One season in the SANFL and I think the AFL scouts will be watching him very closely. Come on Ruory , put that 10kg on ! Hopefully this won't be McPharlin or Shane Tuck re-visited !

He's got the raw talent to get another crack at it, but we obviously rated Gilham and Markovic higher in terms of what they can provide to the rookie list.

To be fair, Markovic was more consistent at TAC level and provides the intangibles that Kirkby lacked in terms of leadership et al.
