One of the projects for BiGFooty in 2006 is to organise player sponsorships.
We get some goodies which will be drawn amongst contributors:
* Dinner invitation for two, sitting with the sponsored player.
* Signed, framed, action photo of Luke.
* I'll throw in a couple of caps and things to be drawn amongst interstate contributors.
* You also get the sponsorship noted in a special field on your BF user profile if you want.
* PLUS every contributor automatically receives a free one-year BigFooty Supporters Club membership (if you are already a member, we add on 12 months).
I live in Brisbane so I'll help organise this one.
My thoughts are for a minimum $20 contribution with everyone getting chances in a draw for the goodies we get with the sponsorship.
EDIT:
Prize draw is directly proportional to the amount you put in. If you put in $60, you have three times the chance of winning as someone who puts in $20.
You need $1500 to sponsor Luke and BigFooty chips in $200 to kick start it.
PS: Just to clear something up: the sponsorship money DOES NOT go to the player. It ALL goes to the club.
So $15 to join the supporter club, or $20 toward player sponsorship and get supporter club free? I like that. :thumbsu:

PLUS, and I suppose we can discuss this if people get upset about it:
Prize draw is now directly proportional to the amount you put in. If you put in $20, that is 20/1300ths of a chance at winning a prize. This is a much fairer way to distribute the prizes.
How is the sponsorship going?

How is the sponsorship going?Not that great - everybody is opting for the $20 option. People contributing to other player sponsorships are going in for $50 to $100 which means they are all basically there.
If we don't hit the goal in time (there are seats at a dinner included, but I don't know exactly when that dinner is) then I'll carry the money over until next year and keep collecting this year.
Danni has some ideas about getting more contributions in so we'll see how that goes.

I'll be speaking to a few folk over this coming weekend who will all probably look at coming in at around $50 each. And I suppose there would be some sort of weird chaotic irony in me popping in some cash from the extra I have floating around right now from my redundancy pay - so I'll chip in a few bucks too.

If you're willing to wait until early June I'll be able to add some more but for the minute I'm stuck.

I'm an unwell man, I have some kind of auto-immune disease thingo that they dont know what it is.
I had one once before that nearly had me on dialysis, but hopefully whatever this one is isnt as bad, so far it's better, I'm not drowning in my own blood or anything this time
Dont worry about my statement though, I was just being dramtic to express disapointment, it's all good.
