Wld t kll u 2 uz nglsh nsted of sms tlk?

To answer your question... On-field: plenty - where confidnce ends and arrogance begins is a very grey area on the sporting field. Off-field: Hard to know without actually speaking to them for a while, but there's probably a few who think of themselves pretty highly.

You probably don't like to think that any players on the team are arrogant, but are there any?

Is that better?

1. Having or displaying a sense of overbearing self-worth or self-importance.
2. Marked by or arising from a feeling or assumption of one's superiority toward others

Based on the dictionary's interpretation of the word I wouldn't say any of our players are arrogant.

As for the person that wrote Vossy! Most unarrogant person that I have ever met!

AKA for meAka is definately the most arrogant, but he's also the most outspoken as well. He's a good type of arrogant that helps to promote more than hinder the team. And dare I say it but it's kind of turned him into a bit of a pinup boy because of it

If you email Jason Akermanis, he will always take the time to email you back, and not just a 1 line response either.

He may present an arrogant persona in the media but thats merely part of his self motivation routine, he sets himself a challenge by making a big statement, and then makes sure he lives up to it on the field.

But off the field/away from the TV cameras, he is a great bloke.

Sherman did come across a bit that way last year, I think he'll settle down a bit this year though.

Aker in my opinion is probably the most arrogant player in the game. Although as much as it pains me to say it...he's got the ability to back it up. He carved us up at the Gabba last year :o

Thats so true.

I was pretty surprised actually that he does reply in that fashion, and not just form responses.

He's a good bloke, Aka.

p.s. Can I stay with you while I'm in London?

Have you never seen a tv interview with Brown? Heard a radio interview? Read one of his columns?

Hardworking, tenacious, focused, fun loving, team oriented, country bumpkin, a through and through 'bloke', all easily help to describe him. But arrogant? That's off the wall.

Jealousy tends to cloud judgement and the point missed in all of these threads is the real meaning of the word.

:(

Fair enough.

Catch up with ya to watch a game at the local if you're keen though. London is too expensive for my blood, but I'll have to pop in for a few days just to have a quick look around.

I'd say Aka though having said that, he may talk the talk but he walks the walk.

Charman is starting be quite arrogant but more than anything, he is starting to be a bit too rough. Being rough isn't a bad thing but he has a tenancy to overdo it.

It's only arrogance if you can't back it up.

It's only arrogance if you can't back it up.

Not really. That is false bravado or something similar.

If you take "arrogance" to mean a feeling or assumption of superiority over others then Wayne Carey is the most arrogant footballer I've ever seen and he could more than back it up.

POBT

Arrogance is not necessarily a bad thing. If the question was "which Brisbane player is the biggest f wit" then it would be inappropriate for a fans' forum but arrogance is a reasonable topic for a footy forum.
