I like the Eagles yes. The rest of the competition. No. It makes me sick that the entire competition is being kept afloat by the state of W.A yet we still get treated as 2nd rate. Adelaide Victoria are much inferior footballing states. I know it its about time they knew it too

Yep, it's really beautiful, I had a really great time.

I spent most of my time in Reunion, so didn't get to see that much of Mauritius, but both islands are sub-tropical (the perfect weather I reckon). I was there around July and it was warm and a bit rainy, especially when we went up into the higher parts.

My highlight was Ste-Rose in Reunion, just amazing scenery, get up there if you can, and also if you're into 'beachy' places go to St-Gilles-les-Bains. :)

4) Was taken out onto the ground by Alex Ischencko during warmup that year when we played Carlton @ the WACA (and won by 3 points) and stood there while players would take their kicks and then come over and sign autographs for me.
5) Played PSA football, but only the 2nd XVIII.
6) Kicked 7 goals vs Guildford Grammar one week and then turned down the opportunity to play 1st XVIII the next week because I didn't think it would be as fun. (Saying no to Gary Malarkey isn't an easy thing to do)
7) Suffered a knock to the head so bad in my next game, that on doctor's advice I've never played another game of football since.
8) Am a journalism graduate from Curtin University, but so pathetic is the media in this state (the rest of the country ain't great either) I've become so disillusioned that I now work in a wine shop while I ponder my next move.
9) Lived in Melbourne for all of 2004 & 2005. In all that time I saw the Eagles win 1 match. And that was by only 4 points.
10) My memory has been described by many different people as 'photographic'.
11) I write. I've written 4 books. 3 of them are novels of about 200,000 words each and another is a non-fiction book about me and footy, but I think I might keep adding to that over the next few years.
12) Only thing I like better than footy is music.
13) I will not tolerate a bad word spoken about my love for the Grateful Dead.
14) If I were to listen to all the music on my hard drive, it would take over 75 days to hear everything once.

Sat beneath the scoreboard both days and I don't care whether he was playing the Zims or against the West Indies of the 1980s - it was probably the best sporting achievement I've ever seen live. Gilly's 84-ball ton on the second day wasn't bad either.
23) Don't think football players should be role models. I don't care how much they earn or what brand they're representing. Just because they earn heaps and play footy doesn't mean they shouldn't get to make the mistakes that many of us have made.
24) Speaking of which... In 1998, while completely drunk, I slammed my hand (unknowingly) onto a large shard of glass, severing tendons and nerves in my right hand. My hand was in a plastic cast for four months and even to this day, it still hurts like a mofo.

40) Ideal job would be owning and running a publishing house. I would be ultra-successful and one day earn enough money to startup a daily competitor to The West Australian and then I'd show the people in this state what a real newspaper is supposed to look like.
