waterson played with fitzroy once upon a time.Last involvement was coaching/playing with cohuna was a handy player but knee injury i think finished him up.Wouldnt have played for a good 5 yrs or so to my knowledge so i would imagine he would be non playing.A few handy cohuna ex pats echuca way and moama not that far to travel so he would have the potential to recruit a few

Mick Dedini is 100% playing for Boga & carn't wait to start training. I don't know about Ash but I'm tipping he is not going to go back on his word with Tyntynder as he is a quality bloke. Just curious to know John, where did you get your mail?

They are related. Not sure how Anthony goes with the nugget though, he is a fast bowler from all accounts.
Has anyone followed Chris to Moama at this stage? I haven't heard of any recruits as of yet?
I would have thought Chris would be trying to get back ex Cohuna players such as Carl Treacy, Wade Pitson, The Reid Brothers, and even Scooter McGlone (that might be far fetched to get him there though)

Has anyone heard of anything?

Has absolutely no chance of getting NONE of the above. and Scooter McGlone well thats just plain ridiculous. Carl has gone especially to cohuna to join his brother this year, wade moved to melbourne with work and reids, well, lets face it, they would rather fish than play footy, especially to travel there (considering both live in cohuna) and play in a side which hardly has shown anything that will warrant their improvement in 2007.

That would have to be a bit of crap John. Boga haven't started training yet and Mick has been working away at fires for a month so I don't see how he wouldn't be happy with Boga. Although i must say that I have heard Ash is a chance to go back to W/L after splitting with his girlfriend

Thanks for the update flojo,

I would have thought Pitson might consider it. He only left Echuca due to clashes with his previous coach! I also thought young Benny Wilson might be moving back and might play with Moama, he was from Cohuna originally as well. Not sure what his movements are though? Apparantly was back over Xmas.

Pity about Treacy as he is a gun.

Back to Doozy - you never know about pitson I suppose. Ben Wilson also will be very unlikely to ever play for Cohuna, his family don't even live there anymore. Plus he is going really well playing amatuers in Perth.. and liking his new found indepence.

Anthony Farrant hasn't played for a while, believe last time he donned the boots were for Moama. He has been plagued with knee injuries in his career. Dont think he ever set the world on fire, but has good breeding that is for sure. Back in his hay day he did play for Echuca in the GVFL but believe he was dropped come finals time. However he is a gun in cricket.

Yes the Farrants, great footballing family with Doug and Garry both playing VFL for the Kangaroos.
Garrys sons - Tim, Michael, Anthony, David and Pete all are great sporting talents as well.
Pete is probably the best at footy, played with Coburg for a few years and is currently ripping up the Mackay league up north. Made the Queensland squad for the Australian Champs and was unlucky not to be picked in the final team IMO.

Why not ask, new players at the club standing there may not know who Deckchair is and what he has done, would not be a great start just asking the unknown where they play should include all the playing group.

Both those guys wanted to coach, Boga would not stop anyone leaving if they have aspirations to coach. Brock by his own admission had had enough time coaching Boga, if he wanted to stay as a player he could have.
Glenn may enjoy coaching, and one day return to the Central Murray and l'd like to think he would return to Boga. Brock is probably a career coach and could end up anywhere ie Ryan, Filo, Brennan.........

Yeh good thanks Foozy. Honestly, Fooz we would like to think we have improved on last year. Looks like we'll pick up about 4 or 5 players, have lost Glen and Brock. Matt has some good ideas and communicates very well so we should improve. Any clown who blowarses that we'll be up with brocks dogs has no idea, we were miles of the pace last year.

And no we haven't mentioned brock since he departed, that blow up doll is quickies and it has a picture of his own face on it....:D

Thats fair enough Deckchair its good to see that you have picked up a few anyway. I think quicky would take that doll home for some extra pre-season work yeah??

Why is all this bullsh.t talk persisting about Mick Dedini. He has signed with Lake Boga, he has a job that he is very happy with ( the only one mind u ). And is very keen to get back to Swan Hill to start training with the boys at his new club. For christ sake get over it!

Hey does anyone have any idea if Nathan Quick has a brother called Jeremy? If so is he any good? Probably wouldn't be as good as Nathan..

yes it's his brother they have another brother Fraser who coached Warrack Eagles to the Wimmera Footy League flag in 02 which all the Quick boys played in. Jeremy was very close to BOG that day. Is a very good onballer.

Gee, seen two teams out training tonight. Old rivals Tyntynder and Swan Hill. The Swans looked like a bunch clowns attempting to resemble a football club whilst Brock Parsons has those Dogs growling early on. They are a force. He has blokes that couldn't run around the block smashing out extra sessions. They are on a mission. Surely they're the top team at this stage?

After the quality pick ups they have gained for this year i dont think you would expect anything less Josh, if they werent doing much you would be wondering where you have gone wrong.

Heard a few of their officials are asking the same question?? Wonder if the money goes to "first signed first paid" when it starts to run out or if the boys will team together and all take a % cut mmmm will be interesting come the end of the year................

I'm not only talking about fitness and conditioning lads, the recruits alone would set Tyntynder apart from the rest. Regarding fitness blokes like Brock Parsons, Marcus Nalder, Adam Kelly etc. are going to be fit at any stage of the year. February or September. Doesn't matter... I think we'll see a better performance from the Dogs this September.
