They have had a few injuries but nothing too serious that would explain their recent slump. I think they are just lacking the spark to get them to win. They seem to have no emotion when playing

They seem to start off with it and then slowly drop off as seen with last weeks game. Unfortunately I didn't see the Balranald game so I can't comment on it but I believe you. They have lost 4 games now, 3 by 1, 14 and 5 points each after leading in all 3 of those games. I think they think that it has worked all day and will just click in to gear but that is not always the case. They even lost their last quatre against Lalbert

I wouldn't say it is a lack of fitness because they do a lot of pre-season training

I agree CF1, I've been at all but 1 of the Tyntynder games and I don't think fitness has anything to do with it. Passion could be a factor, last week when they were down by 17 points and kicked two quick goals with a couple of minutes to play there was very little celebration. You'd think they would have fired right up but didn't seem too excited at all. Had a couple of injuries that didn't help also.
I think they sometimes hit cruise control when they get 5 or 6 goals up rather than really going for the jugular. They did this against Balranald, took some key players off in the last quarter when they thought they had it won and gave them a sniff. By the time they got them back on the damage had been done and Balranald had all of the momentum.
Whatever the case, don't count the old doggies out just because they are only in 4th or 5th spot. Have showed that they are capable of beating every team except for Kerang so far. Just a matter of working out how to close out games and they are a big chance.

just looking at the clerance sheets and raymond rowbotham the nyah recrit has put in a clearance 2 go back home? he is vital to the nayh side! anyone shed any light on the matter?

Tyntynder have fallen in a hole but i think they will bounce back hopefully startin this week! which is a game they should win! they do have multiple amounts of leaders with the likes of parsons, kelly, nalder, corri and dedeni showin the way for the younger kids like, denham, masters and storer.

I believe Bottom sides such as Woorinen should be promoting youngsters to the senior side constantly to prepare for the future.

Think dwane holt isnt far from returning to full form, never count out arentz, but if matt jess keeps injury free, he will take some stopping, i think it will be out of justin davies, dane fitz and ryan o'sullivan, wild cards for it could be ryan harris and hugh foot.

You would have a fair idea of the happenings at Balranald to id suggest. Reasons why he stepped down do not have to be splashed across here. However just so it doesnt get out of hand a very general version would say that he had some personal issues outside of footy and could not commit himself 100% so he stepped aside.
How bout focus on the fact they have cleared a debt of $120,000 in nine months and have played 41 players in the seniors this year to be sitting third on the ladder.
But you would no the usual happenings of Balranald swansong wouldn't you so no need to tell you!!!

fair enuff woodduck.....if a bloke has 2 step due to personal reasons so be it. no one should question his decision. as i obviously dont know a lot about the happenings at balranald i was just ashuming that there might have been further turmoil off the field at rooland. but congrats r in order for the way the club has been run ova the last previous months by elimin8ing the debt and still being a force in the cmfl
Cheers mate:thumbsu: Nobody at the roos disputes the fact that in the recent past it was a very average club in a lot of areas. But the current working group are doing a great job and have achieved what some thought may take two or three years in just nine months.
Personally dont blame anyone on here for taking shots at Balranald over past happenings, just know were working hard at turning things around.
On a positive note thought the bombers community radio was a great concept, it raised alot of interest at Balranald a couple of weeks ago.

Well done to the current committe on getting the club financials turned around. The $120K is this money owed to the players/coach etc, so all have been paid up? haven't been on for a while, not sure if this has been discussed. As an outsider it is hard to comprehend how a club who boasts of spending so much money and have financial backing of the wood cutter can have such a debt.

Peter Taylor from Raiders would have a few league votes racked up possible quiet achiever. Dennis will be a sure thing. Kerang would have too many people taking votes off each other to provide a relevant front runner for the medal.

Cant be to confidential if its out on the street. Why doesn't it need to be thrown around on here? Its a football related topic, and a good one to be discussing, if it is indeed true. Might have hit a nerve there micky.

How do you think the young and inexperienced Cohuna side will go against the barham/koondrook boys tomorrow, should we expect a blow out?

Had a good look at Balranald today, the do have some class in Dane Fitz and Harris, but their back half may have to be questioned as they consedered 17 goals and all seemed to be in succession. Boga had a lapse for 15 mins at the start of the third and as a result probably cost them the game, but Balranald showed definite signs of weakness in their back half. Is this going to bring them apart in september?

Boga had no bench after qtr time, so a credible effort was given, and they still do have a chance to make the 5, it may be a tough ask, but I think that they can do it, what does everyone else think?

Was at the Roos v Pies game and I thought it was a ripper. Balranald are a classy unit and the Boga boys gave it all they had to try and squeeze out an unlikely win. The Roos big bodies in the midfield were tough to contain, guys like Dane Fitzgerald, Hayden Harmer, Jason Dennis, Brendan Cardillo and Ben Ahmat were a handful for the black and white although they gave the Roos boys a few of their own problems. Brent Forsyth again racked up possessions, Cliff Ryan was dominant at half forward then was damaging when he surprisingly went into the centre and Josh Jenkins was beaten in the centre bounces but was damaging around the ground. Almost brought the Pies back into it single handedly in the third and fourth terms.

My award winners:
Jack Betts: Justin Davies, Brent Forsyth, Dane Fitzgerald.
Premiers: Swan Hill over Kerang
Best on in Final: Justin Davies or Dwayne Holt
Team MVP's: Dane Fitzgerald (Roos), Ryan O'Sullivan (T/M), Scott Sellars (NNW), Glenn Boyd (Woor), Marcus Nalder (Tyn), Justin Davies (SH), Brent Forsyth (LB), Chris Gibson (Ker), Braydon O'Bree (Lal), Jon Bell (Coh), Brendan Jennings (L/G), Shane Guerra (K/B).

Hi all,

newbie to this part of Bigfooty but just realised that the CMFL have a blog on here so that's great news. I'm from up that way originally and lived in Piangil ages ago and of course am a Tooleybuc/Managatang supporter. How are they going this year?

All the best.

they basically have the same team but they lost by 10 goals to ladder leaders a few weeks a go and were disapointing. but when they get everyone up and going they are still contenders to go bak to bak. ryan o' sullivan causing havoc

Breaking news!!!!!! Stop the press! ive been hearing some whispers from some ultima boys that the bulldogs want to join with ultima to enhance their playing list so they can take on the powerhouse teams like balranald , kerang and swan hill. Was this in the Bulldogs banter ? But have been told ultima president was not very happy and contacted bulldogs and gave em a mouthful

if there was a day that big rick wanted to kick a bag saturday should be the day against the arch rivals, and johnny bell will also get a lot of the ball again, who do you think will get the key forwards for L/G with the Kangas backline being so inexperienced, you have Shaun Martin (18yrs old), Mathew Trigg if fit (31-32), Wayne Crichton (21), Boddie Arthur (18),Dylan Anderson (27-28) and Craig Crichton (17) can they match it or will they be to inexperienced for the L/G forwards?

No offence to Swan Hill, but if they came up against Kerang in the Grand Final they wouldn't stand a chance in my opinion. Would love them to prove me wrong but
