who picks the nominations for team of the year? looking through the record there are some disgraceful choices

Top 6 now done and dusted. the prelude is the week before finals where top 6 all play each other. which might give a team some hope as they go into finals.
Last week showed that East are the real deal and wil improve with Hutchy due back possibly this week. (so yu can add 5 goals to any score East have kicked in the last 6 weeks)
Sunbury are the real threat and decided to have a week off last week after winning by 10 goals plus the previous month.
Redan will improve with the Roosters players retruning, come to think of it there are more roosters playing at Redan than at North Ballarat. They will improve Paul McMahon will be the BIG watch through finals.
Ballarat are the true front runners, gets tough they go missin'. having said that if they get there way they will be handful not sure if they can win 4 in a row.
Melton South ordinary midfield couple of good forwards who are hard to match up, suspect back line, so if dont win footy will put the cue in rack after first week.
Melton this team is the mystery box, when bad they are just that, when good it's the Ash Webber show. with luck may play 2 finals but that would be it.

In summary FINALS
Week 1 East, Redan and Ballarat
Week 2 East, Sunbury
Week 3 Sunbury
Grand final East.

Micallef is out for the rest of the year with a knee.

also does east only have hutchy to add to its team from saturday???
redan will add horbury, pitt, blomley, cummins and nunn, with snibson and bridges possibilities which should see the match up alot closer next time.also dickinson will hopefully be over his glandular fever by finals and should have more of an impact around the ground when fully fit.

East & Sunbury are good if they get things their own way. As soon as it gets hard they disintegrate.

And you dont get any easy games in Finals.

as for Ballarat they are a distant 4th in the premiership race IMO

Dear Claude Vinger Stroke,
you are kidding yourself in the past 4 years, actually you're right they are posers, they are in fact EXposers of the pretenders such as East, Sunbury and Ballarat.
Although thats probably hard on Sunbury as they at least get to the big show. the other clubs believe that they can but always fail to fire the shot. But East will make the grade this year.

You have to be kidding - he sniped Griffo when he was not looking and put a crack in his cheek bone. Weak was p!ss Miller. The thing with Griffo he would not squeal like some are starting to do.
Serge got the word out that Miller was an open target - he then got a mystery virus and did not come back after half time.
Do you think Miller is scared of anyone at Sunbury?? You would have to be joking. That mystery virus has kept him out since that game, dont think it had anything to do with big bad tough Sunbury.

Maybe but Melton south will knock ballarat out this week anyway so the win will be wasted.

Fair effort by the devils to come back from 41 points down at 3 qtr time to win by 7 points against Sebas. 10 goals to 2 in the last. If only they had shown that form all year. Deckert was on fire with 5 majors from everywhere.

And even the marsh won again. What were lakers doing???

East over Sunbury
Redan over Melton
South over Ballarat.

Happy enough if they were the results.:) Next year may be the swans year, not ready yet. As for the lakers will take big effort for club to kickstart again back to being serious contender. Still they have good juniors and a couple recruits can turn things around quickly.

Lakers should be able to return to their home oval permanently in 2008. That will make a significant difference to the whole club as they have been severely affected by their nomadic trekking of the past few drought ruined seasons. Expect to see them on the improve next year as they capitalise on the good work done by Darrin Findlay during his tenure.

See where the kid is at - good experience in case oakie goes down. Jordon only kicked 1 on oakie last time they played on each other as well. No doubt Jordan is a gun but like the great Wayne Carey he had players that owned him.

Carey = Jacko
Jordan = Oakie

Power will hand Jordan 4 goals every week if it means Sunbury win.

The big win for Power was finding out who the East Point bunny was. Mr Phelps got a savage spray from Serge all day - he then put his tail between his legs and hopped away.

aah KA i disagree with you on that one. Not a bad tactic but he didn't pick his target very well, i think Phelpsy had a solid enough game, and he had the composure to not get too sucked in except for one free kick on the boundary.

Power should've been more focused on his own game, he was too busy mouthing off at Phelpsy and Sheedy to realise that his man was the main playmaker from the backline all day, and he didn't get too many kicks himself (admittedly his first game back in a long time).

See - very touchy! How is the class of the merging dogs? Spruik when they win and carry on like 2 year olds when they lose. You would think by now they would be used to losing.

Should be a cracking game at Clarke oval tomorrow. Good weather and with both teams close to full strength.

Sunbury by 17 points.

Ballarat by 8 goals - fischer is the worst coach in the comp. Plays Ben Jordan week in and week out in the middle - by this time of year his body is stuffed. If I were the Jordan boys I would be doing the same and talking to other clubs about next year.

have you ever seen a game of footy? Sunbury will make an absolute mess of redan. Murrihy is a useless nang and power is spot on questioning his ability as a footballer

And if Sunbury don't win they'll track the umpire down on their end of season trip and give him a flogging!

Hey ******** isn't it saying something about sunbury if the jordan boys are from sunbury and they still wont play with your stinking club. Have a think about it.

You forgot bad penis.

Is that because he was a tad rough on you Hank? Maybe during foreplay next time, you can use your teeth as some sort of payback!

To all Ballarat League posters. For the next year please refer to East Point as - The Merging Choking Dogs!!:D

just keep talking mate, just showing everyone again what a class act sunbury is.

Is that the biggest choke seen in the BFL for a long time by East??? Just shows that finals and regular season are poles apart. No point fnishing on top when you cant win in September.

Will be interesting to see if the talk about fisher not being reappointed continues now.

Redan are still the best team. To disciplined for Sunbury who also have the choke factor about them.

Will be a great clash between Ballarat & Sunbury. Two front running sides who can be caught out going the other way. Expect a high scoring game. Sunburys on ball size may just get them over the line.

What was wrong with Dan Jordan yesterday? Was he injured or crook? Saw him walking off at half time looking like he was gonna spew..

He had no impact on the game at all untill the last qtr yesterday..

Is Luke Beattie overated or did he have a really bad day ?

To the Merging Choking Dog Supportes - this is how you take a loss.

Redan were super on Sat and the 14 point margin flattered Sunbury. Redan's work rate was a at level that is needed for finals football. Their class around the ball and run from the back line really make them a very dominate country league football team.

Sunbury will need to do what they did to the merging choking dogs when they were smashed the 2nd time they played but turned it around in the finals. Houlhian will be better with another game this week under his belt.

Can I get some comments on the Ballarat game - word is Ballarat also made Phelps there bunny - Power has started something here - his opponant kicked 8!!! Finished on top twice now the dogs and walk away with nothing! Good to hear Fisher has been sacked.

Was a shame to read about the Merging Dogs, sorry Merging Choking Dogs. The beers must be tasting good today.
Fisher is going to get a tattoo of 2 hands around his neck.

Have your laugh fellas but let's not let the facts get in the way of a good story eh?
Fisher announced he was quitting immediately after the game, he was not sacked. Make what you will of the fact.

anyone that thinks that mark phelps is the bunny of the east side obviously doesnt know the first thing about anything. and for the record marc phelps man was very quiet and sheedy was given the job on nunn and beaten be a the beeter player on the day, so get your facts right before you accuse blokes of being ''bunnies''
p.s. im not making excuses for there performance yesterday but the finger should be pointee at the right blokes

While we are all East Point bashing we should at least give Ballarat some credit, they were clearly the better side on the day and played some good football.

Both of the Lions had better be wary of the Swans, they'll push both all the way

Yep heard the same whisper (more like a roar), comes from similar source that picked Luke Adams to win CHFL B&F by the exact margin!!

The BFL seriously needs to have a look at the ********s they have counting up the votes. If Edwards gets up they have successfully leaked the info for all three of their leagues.

Phelps had 5 kicked on him before he hopped away to find another easier opponant. Still have not heard from any Merging Choking Dog supporters giving credit to Ballarat. Fischer quit as he knew his head was on the chopping block. If you want to start a poll on the worst coach in the Ballarat league I would be very confident that Mr Fischer would finally win something.

Actullay Vineyard may have also turned Phelps into a bunny as well. I think Phelps needs to give footy away - give David Copperfield a call to see if he can get a gig in one of his acts.

Ballarat and East point should be a very close game
east point to win by 25 goals though

Even though I hate Sunbury with a passion (do respect them) have to love the work of Kings Army. East/Point are nothing but merging dogs. They could win five flags and I would still not give that club any credit. Keep up the great work Kings Army, what you say makes sence and is funny, you mustn't be a sunbury local.

He is a Gisborne Boy.
And bagging the Merging Dogs isnt funny, it is hilarious. It is now a national past time, enjoyed by thousands.
I am on the Sunbury boys, represent the East with pride. Don't let the red headed geek win another one.
