I spent the weekend at the Heritage's Coastal retreat and about 3am Sunday morning after a couple of Light Ices James started to get emotional. He told me many things on Saturday night about his love for the ladies, nights out at Motel & Boutique, his pasion for surfing and most importantly his football career in 2007. He talked about what he wants to achieve when he returns and where he will achieve it. He spoke about playing at 3 clubs - his former club Old Essendon (where he was their favourite son), his current club Collegians (where is has thrived off the field under the tutelage of Jono Dixon) and Trinity (home of good mate the big cat). He has also decided that this decision will be made by the big footy VAFA community. So please take your time when making your decsion and cast your vote!

I think he will be stay at Collegians, while i would love to see him return to Keilor Hill, his bond with Jono Dixon is strong and the move has been of great benefit to him in social circles.
I think there should be an option for SKOBS as well, Brian speaking still longs for his arrival at Righetti.

I think Old Ivanhoe would also be an option with the close bond he has formed with many of their players near the ATM at Motel, it is quite sickening.
Haven't seen him play since 2004 but he would be more than welcome down at Beaumaris.

Surely once you've been to A grade you can't go back to B grade.:thumbsd:
Old Trinity has my vote.:thumbsu:

We'd welcome him down at Pine Lodge. We don't have many non Ivanhoe Grammar boys down there.

There's little doubt we would warmly welcome young Mr Heritage to Trinity, even though he's apparently a bit soft :p. Still, "general knowledge" would suggest he'd fit right in anyhow.
He was part of our master-list of players to target re: recruiting, but the word was he was sticking fat with Collegians for 2006, so we called off the hunt very early.
If a return to active duty is only likely to occur in 2007, then it's a real shame because I thought he was going to play CHF in a Lions' B Grade flag this coming season. In fact, I swear I saw him doing a clockwise lap of Albert Park lake in early December whilst I was trundling the other way with our boys......maybe I was wrong.

Knowing Heritage closely like I do, my inkling is that a return in mid to late 2006 is imminent, he has been seen down at the Harry Trott for pre-season training and is hoping to challenge J Dixon for the CHF position late in the season.
Will be dependant on how his dodgy left knee holds up.

Don't think it was Heritage doing a clockwise lap of the lake, he only goes anti-clockwise around the lake.

Gotcha SMG - I must've been delerious. Pre-Xmas training does that to an old man.
NB - since my post and vote, only one more vote has been cast, and it was for Trinity (which is the clear leader). However, only one extra post has been made, and it was by......SMG.
Interesting.....

Old Xav's have just called through. They're willing to match any offers made by Ess, Collegians and Trinity and up it by 15K.

I think he should play at OEG with his great mate and true "C" grade celebrity Murray Makris.
Imagine those 2 on the same field again...

I believe all of the Xavs coin has gone on Graham and Harford...Heritage should stay with the poonami at the Lions, why wouldn't you?

Yeah, he is a bit of a cat, seen him in action at Boutique on many a Friday, does quite well for himself.
Bernard's wouldn't have him...? I suppose that's why Neil Loughlan calls him every October.......

Why would you want to try and recruit him. he is just going to get a job from a club and then go play elsewhere
he is a fraud and a phony and i wish i never laid eyes on him

I used to see him at The Motel on Saturdays a while back. Early days he struggled with the women, but soon associated himself with the Poo Browns and, from your latest report SMG, obviously picked up some pointers that he now uses at Boutique Fridays.
I've only seen this Heritage bloke from a far, but surely his character isn't as bad as the posters would have it on this forum. Anyone reading for the first time would think he was Hitler's Son.

There is obviously some substance to the bloke if it warrants you posting on this forum.
Witnessing him play a few times he has made some good players look silly, shame he only got a crack a B Grade.
Uncertain of his character as I've never met him.
A Big Footy character just emailed me and said you two blokes are ordinary reserves players for StBernard's with massive chips on you shoulders, and that you probably played junior footy with Heritage in the EDFL.... Any truth...?

Bernard's offered him the captaincy and he still refused. The are troubled times at the Snakepit.

Is that the same guy that took the hanger on Almost Football Legends?
Doesn't he make CHB's look like Roosters for a living?

Never played a reserves game mate...and no chips...never even played in the EDFL.
Guess again.

It might be that his other mate Danny Byrne keeps getting Andrew "Puggsy" Parker's scraps that is fanning his rage...??

I know they both bat for the wrong team but I didn't know they had retired.
Perhaps you missed the point of "scraps"

It's now our fault Bernards can't keep their woman.

its all about sorting the quality from the scrap...the scrap gets sent up the road to the underachieving neighbours.

in my boredom i was going through BF archives and reading through some banter between OEG and STB led me to this thread... now after reading this I would have thought the OEG v STB game would have been a belter.. why was it such a heartless fizzler?? this type of "FU" banter is missed...
