Can't wait for this movie this year
40 years of the CIA and directed and staring ROBert DE NiRO.. The man may finally be back to acting after about 10 years of so so projects (Meet the parents aside)
But that's not the most exciting part he's managed to coax out of retirement after 8 long years none other than..... JOE PESCI. and he will be playing a crime boss
Oh I cant wait only 11 months to go :D :D
Saw this today. What can I say. Great ensemble movie and a good effort by Director De Niro. Matt Damon is great as ''Mother'' and his stone face conveys the silence required. Jolie is ok as his wife and the supporting cast is strong. Pesci looks sick though but does a good job in his minute and a half screen time
All bits tied up and apparently its part of a trilogy by De Niro who has 2 cameos as Wild Bill Sullivan ( Donovan) its good spotting the historical figures as well
Oh and at 2 hours and 45 minutes give or take 1 , dont buy the large coke
**** stars from me

No explosions or car chases?
I thinked i counted 2 gun shots fired in sucession the whole movie. Bit hard to mantain concentration for the entirity of the movie
This movie was excruciatingly boring and uninteresting.
I'm all for movies of this genre, but this particular one did nothing to inspire or hold my attention.
A long running time, some fine acting, and some big cast names does not make up for a boring story and an uninteresting script. :thumbsd:

No explosions or car chases? As much as I hate OTT movies such as anything that comes from Ang Wong (or whoever the guy is who did MI and The Big Hit) or almost any Swartzenegger movie, there's got to be a little a little action to keep me from snoozing.
Some movies don't need action (The Talented Mr Ripley comes to mind) and get away with it. The Good Shepherd was a long film. Two and half hours or something. Just boring. Not a bad film, just boring.

Nope. But it's better than The English Patient. Sorry girls.
Saw the trailer for this a while back, and it seemed pretty good. I'm looking forward to watching it :)

The script was fine. It was too long, and the second half wasn't great.

I think most of the comments about the length are justified, but bear in mind there is supposed to be 2 more movies extending the history. I felt the length could only be justified to set characters.
