Brisbane Lions utility Chris Scott has been ruled out of any involvement in the club's NAB Cup campaign after undergoing hip surgery.
The club is hopeful the veteran will be available for the opening round of the premiership season.
The 29-year-old had a hip labral tear arthroscopically trimmed last Friday. The procedure is described as "minor" by the Lions' medical staff, but Scott will be sidelined for between six and eight weeks.

Here's hoping that he makes a speedy recovery. The lions will miss his skills for a while.
His skills,on occasion we could do without.:D
His toughness and experience however will be missed.

Chris Scott is unlikely to play this year. The injury is not improving (http://foxsports.news.com.au/story/0,8659,19266657-23211,00.html).
