BigFooty Proposal

For the BigFooty AFL Player Of The Year award, a voting system that will be introduced is that 5 members from each team, plus 1 emergency will be chosen to hand out votes in your clubs matches, according to the whole match, and not just your club's votes.

We need people who are willing to put their time and effort in once a week, and are active enough to meet a submission deadline (see thread in AFL Board).

This thread is for your board to decide which (6) members will represent your team.

The reason why voters are limited is due to an organised approach during the season. It is for BigFooty, therefore, it doesn't however, allow everyone to vote, so this proposal on your club board is for you to choose your representative's.

Just post in this thread, or the thread, that can be found in the AFL Board.

Would love to but....The location on my profile is accurate & I actually do live in Tokyo & although I will try watch as many as I can it's not always possible to get to the only pub in the city that shows it (ie...closed in arvo so wont get to day games etc.).

Lady Lawrence & Helix could maybe help you though...a mod and an upstanding poster respectively.

I am also an antipodean though, and though I'd love to participate, I will be spending the majority of April and May travelling (a fair chunk of the footy season :mad: )

In any case I think I'll be able to cast votes without too much bias. Can't speak for everyone else though - which is the only area this might fall down. Looking at the thread on the main board, I can see some names which may and may not be so clear-minded.

Thanks for joing TFB, All votes are averaged out, not totalled, so a total of 10x 5-4-3-2-1 votes are submitted, and then I will total them to produce the best 5-4-3-2-1 for the game.

I am toying with the idea that the total votes added will not be submitted, therefore, we will have a BigFooty Medal night, where I will spend time submitting final votes, it'll be great :D

OK, sounds similar to what I do on a the viclions forum, except there it's only Lions players in that instance.

I guess any bias factor will be nullified somewhat by the fact supporters from both teams will be voting.

yeah exactly, everyone will have bias, it is in our life as supporters, but still, we are responsible enough to realise if other teams players deserved votes aswell, just despends how many we give them.

Thanx Belgian. I'll be in it, but not clear on how it will be done. Is it who's got the fastest fingers and posts first or averaged out amongst the five?
Anyhow I'm sure it will all be sorted out.
